La Mordida stands out as the finest Mexican restaurant I have experienced in the central area of Puerto Rico. From the moment you enter, the vibrant décor, lively music, and warm ambiance set the stage for a memorable dining experience. The restaurant strikes a perfect balance between authentic Mexican charm and comfortable elegance, making it suitable for both casual outings and special occasions. The food is consistently excellent. Every dish I sampled was fresh, well-prepared, and bursting with authentic flavors. The guacamole was creamy and seasoned to perfection, the tacos showcased bold yet balanced spices, and the entrées reflected a genuine dedication to traditional recipes. Presentation was also impressive, with each plate thoughtfully arranged. Dessert was equally satisfying, a sweet finish to an already outstanding meal. Service deserves special recognition. Our server, Juliana, was exceptional—attentive, courteous, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on, and her warm personality made us feel welcome throughout our visit. She went above and beyond to ensure everything was flawless. La Mordida excels in every aspect: food, service, atmosphere, and staff. It delivers not just a meal, but an experience worth repeating. Without hesitation, I highly recommend it to anyone seeking authentic, high-quality Mexican cuisine in...
Read moreI have been bringing my family here for over a year. The closest Mexican restaurant I have found that can be compared to San Diego Mexican food.
Why am I giving it a 2 instead of a 5? You don’t mess with customer’s food. I sent my fish tacos back because they were covered in pork fat from other tacos. I kindly asked for a replacement due to strict dietary needs. The server took the tacos back and they came back in less than two minutes. I have never had the taste of grease in my mouth so bad (pork fat). Beer couldn’t remove it. I left the place with a migraine and feeling sick.
The sever didn’t seem to give a care about providing a good service. I tipped out of courtesy, but shouldn’t have tipped.
My children and husband were in love with this place and after this last experience none of us want to go back.
If you are looking for a place where you feel like you are spending your money well for good service and great food, try El Manjar Criolllo. They do care about your dietary needs and the service is superb 99.99 of the time. I would say 100 percent of the time, but it can be perspective.
Or better yet, La Placita (La Melaza) offers great service and great food. Have been visiting that place for over a...
Read moreI am deeply disappointed in the owner and the waitress that gave us service this past Friday. Do not get me wrong, the majority of the items on the menu are DELICIOUS, however when I ordered the Mango Ribs, they over sauced the plate to the extend that it was not edible. We immediately returned the plate back to the kitchen, letting the waitress know that we were displeased with the food and that we did not want it to be remade since it clearly was not edible. To our shock and horror the waitress proceeded to charge us the plate and hence we were forced to complain to the manager. The manager clearly displeased with US, not with the server, angrily took out the plate from the bill and charged us the side that we nibbled on as we waited for the check. My main issue was the dishonesty in the staff. We left the correct amount of tip( which we would have left either way) and we did not consume the plate for them to try to charge it. Hopefully they will learn for future occasions that fighting over 15 dollars is not worth a bad review.
Do feel free to head over and try their pizzabirria it’s delicious. Their refrains beans...
