La Cueva del Mar Caguas — Restaurant in Caguas

They were able to accommodate us 30 min before closing, although looking back I wish we didn’t get seated. I ordered a virgin mojito, and was given an alcoholic beverage. I’m pregnant, so I had my husband try it first. Thank god I did! How can someone be so wreck less? I also specifically asked for no pork in any of the food. I ordered the whole red snapper, which was pleasant but was given a yellow rice with pork rinds on top and later found pork in the rice itself. When confronting the waitress, she manually removed the pork rind in front of me without replacing the dish itself. It didn’t matter since the rice had pork incorporated in it. She never removed this from the tab?! My husband ordered the seafood Alfredo pasta which was not good at all. I would not return...

Our 1st time at La Cueva del Mar. After the appetizer everything went down the drain. It was like night and day. My mother ordered the seafood rice and it was extremely salty, she refused to eat it. I ordered the whole fried snapper and what a disappointment. It had no flavor whatsoever, bland, no seasoning, not even salt. The price per pound was almost $28 per pound. So, i ended up paying $36 for the insipid fish and had to take the entire thing home to try making a fish dip. Definitely, the most expensive dip I've ever made. Main course was terrible, not coming back eveeeer!!!!

I've been a since 2019 and it's been the same as the 1st time. Service is awesome some have gone to another CdM Rest. But Heidi, Miguel, Rafael and I know that I'm missing a few names but they all work just as Hard!! They take time to know their customers. Not to leave out the Valet Parking Staff there're Great also. My congrats to The Kitchen Chef's and Staff the food and dessert's is always on point never an issue with anything ordered. They have the Best Avocado Home-Made Hot Sauce and it's even for sale. This is one of my favorite The Best Tasting so far. If your in Caguas give them a try....let me...
