Bambina is almost a perfect 5-star spot! The food was truly phenomenal — we ordered three pizzas: the spicy honey pepperoni (which was next-level delicious), one with bacon and pepperoni, and a classic cheese. We also started with the jalapeño poppers, which were absolutely amazing — crispy, flavorful, and with just the right amount of kick.
We’re a pizza-loving family and try new spots weekly, and I have to say — the dough here is on another level. Light, flavorful, and perfectly baked. You can definitely tell this is an artisanal experience, not your average pizza joint.
The vibe of the restaurant is gorgeous — lounge-style with curated music and a clear attention to detail when it comes to creating a cozy, elevated ambience. You can really tell the owner has put heart into the setting.
However, the only downside (and the reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5) was the temperature. I was literally freezing at our table, with the air conditioner blasting directly at us and what felt like a high-speed fan. It made it hard to fully enjoy the experience at first. Thankfully, the service was outstanding — the host and waiter were super kind and attentive, and moved us as soon as another table opened up.
One thing to keep in mind: this is definitely more of a gourmet splurge than a casual dinner stop. With three pizzas, an appetizer, two sodas, and a bottle of Evian, our bill came out to almost $100. While the quality, service, and ambiance justify the pricing to an extent, it’s something to consider if you’re expecting a low-key pizza night.
That said, if you’re looking for a memorable food and vibe combo — Bambina delivers in a big way. Just maybe bring a sweater… and a friend to split...
Read moreI stumbled upon this gem while trying to avoid the drive to San Juan for a decent pizza. I found them on Instagram. I saw a recent reel about them wining best pizza in PR during a local Pizza and beer fest and want to try them. To my surprise, this place offers one of the top 3 pizzas on the island—absolutely worth the visit!
The service was decent but could use some improvement. It seemed they were understaffed, with waiters juggling more than 4-5 tables at a time, which made the service feel a bit hectic. While the team was attentive, there was a noticeable delay in getting our food and drinks after we were seated. We hope for a more positive service experience next time.
The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between upscale and cozy, offering a sophisticated ambiance that’s ideal for adults. The decor is beautiful and thoughtfully designed, leaning more toward an elegant, adult-oriented setting rather than a casual, family-friendly vibe. It’s definitely a great place for enjoying a fantastic cocktail and spending quality time with friends or loved ones.
We tried the Passionate Picante and the Pepperoni pizza—easily among the best pizzas we’ve had in Puerto Rico. The crust was perfect, with an excellent rise, color, and texture, and the toppings were substantial and filling. Definitely in the top 3 on the island!
We also sampled the Caprese salad and Crème Brûlée. The salad was just okay, but the Crème Brûlée was very good, adding a sweet finish to our meal.
On the cocktail side, we were very impressed. The Old Fashioned Smoke and a drink named “Otra Cosa” were both outstanding and complemented the meal perfectly.
Best of luck to this new local business—we’ll definitely...
Read moreOuch! We went all over from San Juan, specifically to this place. Previous experiences with Nicky as a mixologist back then from Calle Loiza, and artesanal pizzas, we are pizza lovers, drove us there. Hey! she wasn't there, no sweat, the execution in the bar for selected drinks very good, as if she was there. The service at the table, with a significant good presence, BUT it's HARASSiNG. We had a party of 5 looking to have a family relaxing time, and due to the harassing attitude of the waitress we rushed our meal, and moved to La Cuevita to finish the family outing. IT WAS FREAKING HARASSING. Pushed to the limit to order appetizers, pizzas, and desert, we were in a mood to order all that, in an excellent spending attitude. We were not in a rush, and willing to pay for the drinks, close to $12.00 for a Moscow Mulle.
Management will probably mask this with the caviat that "we have to rotate the tables", please be more into the professional dining business, your team and management should be able to discern better, if you are to advertise as a specialty product experience. The pizza was very good, the experience tainted...
