Taco Bell — Restaurant in Cairo

Glad to see that the dining area is open again I've missed tacos. I know the drive through was open but the turns are too tight for my vehicle. Always disappointed that Coke products are not available. I selected the mango tea. I won't select it again. The tacos were great.

March, 2022. Dining room is still open but wasn't very busy. All the food is being made in the drive through prep area, inside dining prep area wasn't in use. I ordered inside using a kiosk. Guess the drive through was busy because I waited a long time. I don't like doing this drive through because it is so narrow. Like everyone else, Taco Bell is having problems with staffing and a sign indicated closing time may vary.

May, 2022, another update. Taking orders at the counter this time and the wait wasn't too long. The kiosk were each advertising the Mexican pizza is back. Well, not here, not today, come back tomorrow. This Taco Bell was even out of tomatoes. How do you not have tomatoes when there is a farmers market nearby. You can't send someone out for tomatoes?

My wife likes the veggie power bowl. We each ordered one along with a soft chicken taco and a regular crunchy beef taco. Nothing wrong with the power bowl but my crunchy taco was a soft one. No need to send it back, just eat it and be glad it was beef.

No tomatoes, no Mexican pizza even though it was advertised as being back, 25% of the order wrong. Maybe things will be...

EDITED: this establishment has fallen very far, from great to completely unacceptable. The last time my family visited the restaurant, it took them 3 tries to complete my order properly. They forgot food, and made things wrongly. After BRINGING the untouched food back to the restaurant to exchange for the correct food, the cashier declined the the messed up food. When the manager then brought the corrected food to us, she accused us of trying to steal food, told us that next time she wouldn't do anything for us if we didn't bring the old uneaten items back. The items in question were then produced to her, and she refused to admit any wrong assumptions on her part and did not apologise for accusing a paying customer of theft. On top of the fact that we rarely get our order filled properly, this experience has taught us not to return. It was embarrassing for us, and very unprofessional of someone in the customer...

Drive through experience is hit or miss. The window staff are usually quite polite, however, check your order before leaving as they are rarely correct.

Dining-in is my recommendation in spite of the uncomfortable chairs and over powering brightness from the excess windows the building is mostly made of, the service staff is more than accommodating and will ensure your experience is at least satisfactory.

Also worth mentioning would be the quality control issues with any "grilled" menu item such as; loaded grillers, crunchwraps and quesadillas. These products will sometimes have burnt "flecks" cooked into the outside most likely caused by improperly maintained equipment.

Final verdict- "If it's late and nothing else is open or you are just simply craving tacos it's not bad." 3/5...
