I am a well traveled sushi fan having experienced the best around the world from all of Japan, California and all continents. Sushi is about quality, professionalism, dignity and honor. ALL THAT THIS PLACE LACKS. They cut cost and tradition using cheap ingredients as “fillers” (their soft shell crab sushi had almost no soft shell crab & was 90% imitation crab meat. House warm Sake (I usually pick better estate sakis) was bad and rice was undercooked so every sushi would fall apart before it reaches your mouth. Upon trying the first bite, realizing i was eating rice around fake crab I asked the manager to cancel that order; he responded that i had to read all the ingredient on the menu and it wasn’t his fault! Whaaaat ??? After taking the plate, he still charged for it and was extremely rude, challenging to make his point and apparently didn’t realize they lost a big sushi fan who sticks to the best places regularly; NOT THIS ONE - Finally their menu is boooooooring….. their waiters have no knowledge sushi so any thing special you ask (like ankimo or sea ursins) they don’t know what it is … their portions are rather small and MORE IMPORTANTLY: IT DID NOT TASTE FRESH IF I COULD PUT 0 STARS I WOULD THIS SUSHI PLACE IS...

Worth trying, the live shrimp & scallop. And a simple salmon roll with just salmon and avocado really won me over.
The downside of Kanda is they don't have much for my non-fish-eating friend (Wha-a-a-t!?#@) while Nishi has numerous selections in that regard, BBQ ribs Korean style, Gyoza,Tempura, etc. And the price is about a quarter to a third less than my usual place. What's...
Read moreThe true star of Sushi Nishi is, of course, the food. The sushi here is a work of art. The fish was incredibly fresh and the rice was perfectly seasoned, striking a harmonious balance that showcased the chef's expertise. Each piece of sushi melted in my mouth, leaving me craving for more. The menu also offered a variety of traditional and innovative rolls, which catered to both sushi purists and those looking for a unique twist on classic flavors.
I also had the opportunity to try the sashimi, which was as equally outstanding as the sushi. The slices of raw fish were expertly cut and the presentation was simply exquisite. Additionally, the miso soup and seaweed salad were flavorful complements to the...
