Discovering the Sunny Side Up Diner was like Columbus discovering America. They serve magic on a plate. They have a buffet, but I was hesitant to try it. Not for fear of not liking what they serve, but rather fearing that I would stuff my body and have to be carried out on a stretcher. Looking over the menu I was pleasantly surprised at the selection. I know I could have closed my eyes, pointed to a random spot on the menu, order the closest thing to my finger and be satisfied. My husband ended up getting the whole wheat pancakes. He was some what expecting pancakes that taste like cardboard with syrup on them. The pancakes were fluffy, and delicious. He also got scrambled eggs which were like a ray of sunshine on his plate. The meal was completed with three spicy patties of sausage. I got a Belgian waffle, scrambled eggs, and thick, yummy bacon. I have never been to Belgium. I don't know what the language sounds like. I would probably have a difficult time finding it on a map, but all I know is Sunny Side Up's Belgian waffles are off the chain. I felt like I could fight a shark after eating my meal there. Next time I will get the buffet and bring a stretcher with me to be...
Read moreI was honestly very disappointed in breakfast. I normally go to the sunny side grill in little river which is amazing! But tried here to see if it was comparable. Web site showed a buffet which I like for breakfast but there wasn't any. Waitress was very kind and good. Just the food wasn't. The biscuits were extremely small, hard as a rock, the sausage patties were way over cooked and the gravy was very runny... Maybe it was a bad day which happens, I'm just not sure I want to go back and spend over $30.00 for 2 people's breakfast and each breakfast order was only $8.00?? Think they may have charged for each cup of coffee or something, I didn't ask for an itemized receipt, just paid and left to go to the sunny side grill in Little River.

Read moreI ate there today for the first time and loved it for the most part. Get the buffet when the waffles come out fresh and it’s awesome. Scrambled Eggs on the buffet were a great consistency. Most places over cook scrambled eggs..these were fluffy and perfect. I drink coffee black and even their coffee was good without cream and sugar. Only a black coffee drinker will know how good it is to have a restaurant serve black coffee that actually tastes good. It’s hard to find. The only two complaints is the bacon and gravy. The bacon is undercooked. I’m not a fan of crispy bacon, but this bacon was too limp for even me. Also, the sausage gravy tasted like flour and pepper. But I’m a fan of the place and may try something from the menu next time we go. I will...
