I bought the bourbon roasted chicken it was dry from having been cooked and left under the lights to long, if it hasn't been sitting it's pretty good other than too much pepper. Also whatever you buy at the churches in caldwell tx you have to check it before you take it out the door due to the fact that at least 70% whatever you order isn't what ends up in your bag and the service is sub standard. Because of these issues I rarely went there, but since the only other chicken place in caldwell tx closed churches is the only place to go unless you want to drive all the way to bryan so I don't eat much chicken these days. Read moreThis location confuses me at times. They are supposed to be open until 10 pm. However, they always seem to run out of food 2-3 hours before closing time EVERYDAY. One night l came around 7:30-8:00, there was absolutely NO ONE there...and no sign stating they were closing early. I would rather go during the day time than at night. You can't keep increasing your prices and don't offer good service. I don't know who the owner is but you should check in on your night shift crew. More recently, I dropped in at the beginning of the dinner rush, and there were a bunch of irate customers standing around and not much serving going on. I was fourth or fifth in line to order, and they took one order in the five minutes or so I stood around waiting, without completing any orders - at least not at the counter. I think one or two drive through orders were filled.
