Real Arriero Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Caledonia Charter Township

We live in Caledonia and try to support local businesses. Each time we go out to eat our daughter wants to go here and we generally give in. We just got home. We waited 45 minutes for food, our food was cold. We informed the girl our food was cold she said it wasn’t their fault their kitchen was busy. She was nasty. She said do u just want me to take it off the bill? I replied I really don’t want cold food. She picked up our plates and threw them in the trash. I went to the front to ask for a manager. She continues to yell at me that it isn’t their fault their kitchen is busy and some staff quit. I informed her cold food was not my fault and I would like not to be in the middle of a scene from a temper tantrum. I understand a bad night however I will never spend another nickel in this place ever again. The manager came out and backed her up. He wanted us to pay for the order after it was thrown in the trash. I never hope a business fails that is why we try to shop small business and local. I do hope this place fails. I ordered dinner to-go, just a bunch of tacos and a side of rice. The first time I ordered on Friday, I called in my order, was told 15 minutes, I got there 20 minutes after I placed the order, waited for about 10 minutes before someone helped me, they took my payment, and a few minutes later came out to ask what I ordered because they never made it. I asked for a refund and left. We were still in the mood for tacos and being the only actual Mexican restaurant in the area, I decided to give it a go again. This time they did make my order, for some reason it was more expensive the second time for the exact same order. The food was extremely disappointing. The steak tacos had no flavor and were so dry that I had to take 1 of the 2 corn tortillas off just to be able to get them down. The rice was also bland. I dont think I'll visit again. It's worth driving into grand rapids...

Stopped in unexpectedly for lunch with my business partner. He ordered one of the chicken lunch specials, I ordered enchiladas mexicanas. Both are delicious! I'm not kidding... It's really REALLY good. Our bartender was great and very fast. (We sat at the bar for lunch) Before I was even out of the bathroom from washing my hands.... There was warm chips and salsa on the bar. Ordered a traditional margarita. Salt on the rocks. It's delicious, not too sweet, and not syrupy. Great traditional margarita. It's noon and I'm shocked this place isn't busier. With each of us getting an enormous Margarita, a huge plate of food, and food served within about 5 minutes of ordering..... All for under $50 for two people (not each)! Including a good tip! It's unreal this place isn't packed for the noon hour. Do yourself a favor and definitely head here for lunch or dinner. You...
