When I was looking for a good martial art to learn and started asking around, one of my work colleagues told me about Double Dose Muay Thai. He said it was a great place and that I should check it out. It was the best recommendation I ever received. I was hooked from the moment I stepped in and spoke to Kru Marcos for my introductory session.
I've been at the gym for a year and a half now. I really love the focus on the traditional instruction and rituals. Emphasis is placed on performing techniques correctly and learning the Thai words for them. We even learn self-street defense, which are practical applications for use in real situations that occur today. And they work!
What I love the most is the encouragement that comes from fellow students, our instructors, and sometimes from the parents and family who watch us. We have a comradery that you just won't find in any other gym! We work hard but have fun at the same time. I recently started learning Krabi Krabong (Thai sword fighting) with Ajarn Bryan - and we are having a blast! There's so much energy and excitement from Ajarn Bryan. You can feel his enthusiasm as it it radiates from him into the classroom. He takes pride in the quality of our instruction and works very hard along with all our instructors to ensure we receive the best from them. Not only that, he brings in world class fighters and instructors to hold seminars at the school so we can broaden our knowledge of Muay Thai and give us some self help. For example, a couple of months ago Ajarn Bryan brought in Grand Master Chai - and we had the wonderful opportunity to spend four hours with this great man who brought Muay Thai to America.
I am proud to be part of such a great gym with world class instructors who care about their students. If you're looking for a great place to learn a centuries old martial art, then look no further -- this is the...

Read moreI've visited and trained at Double Dose Muay Thai on several occasions. It is, by far the largest, cleanest, most organized Muay Thai training facility I have ever seen. The instruction is of the highest quality as well. Headed up by Ajarn Bryan Dobler, Double Dose Muay Thai also offers instruction from 2 pioneers of Muay Thai in the United States, Ajarn Rex and Ajarn Kim. The combined knowledge of these 3 instructors puts Double Dose Muay Thai leaps and bounds ahead of any other Muay Thai in Fontana.
