I came here a few days ago with a bunch of other retired men for a monthly lunch at a local restaurant. I had been here before years ago, and can recommend their breakfasts very highly. This time around I was ready for lunch, but each of the other men ordered breakfast, and I should have taken that as a sign. I realize their main focus is their breakfast menu, but it seems to me that Ashley's is content to serve a mediocre lunch. I ordered a Clubhouse sandwich with fries, and the fries were hot and fresh. Great! The sandwich was attractively plated, but the quality of the food inside was marginal. The turkey wasn't anything like fresh roasted, but was that rubbery "parts-is-parts" stuff they glue together into a loaf, the kind they sell for the lowest price in a grocery-store deli. It wasn't a horrible sandwich; it just wasn't very good. Bottom line: if you come here, order breakfast. Better lunches are available very close by. Service was very good, and as "atmosphere" goes, they can seat me in a garage if the...
Read moreI have a neighbor who recommended this place and the reviews were decent so my daughter and I decided to try it. I wasn't really disappointed but I don't know if I would return. The food was substandard. The wait time would of been worth it, if the food was. I'm not trying to be negative but as for the quality of food...it was warm, not hot and well, lets just say I did eat it, so for me. At least I didnt have to cook. The biggest positive, is the friendly service. 3 stars for the service. If the kitchen can catch up, I no doubt could make this place a regular eatery. I did, however notice a guy next to me they knew by name. He got his order in b4 us and came in after us, and got his food about 15 min b4 us sooooo. Well, I guess you gotta keep them coming back. Just an honest review. I wasn't sure if I was going to...
Read more'21/6 1st time customer/review: Very pleased with this breakfast/lunch diner... Well lit/ambiance/sounds--not too much/little (see pix posted). Small, but functional bench-seat waiting area just inside door. Good layout, table-booth choices (see pix posted)--outdoor dining as well (though along a semi-busy road). Very good service--attentive, but not over bearing; pleasant/sincere, but not fake or droning. Decent menu choices--breakfast "all day" (see pix posted; side note: hours of operation 6a - 2p). Food served in timely manner, and simultaneously to all 4 of us via two nice servers. [Heads up: coleslaw contains horseradish.]
-- Yes, handicapped parking: 2, by front entrance. -- Plenty of parking in this stand-alone building's side spot of the sleepy shopping center (see...
