I anticipated having a wonderful lunch after reading the stellar reviews. So I decided to try the “lobster sliders.” Presented on an oversized white rectangle plate were 3 small square lonely over buttered toasted rolls with an eraser size piece of “ lobster “ in each one along with a tiny purple cabbage “ flag” embedded into each one probably to direct you towards the “ lobster “ that apparently had slid away. ” Even if you were to combine the three “lobster “ ingredients together in wouldn’t fit into a teaspoon. If this was caviar then it would have been appropriate for the amount. But being that it is lobster…no way . I don’t mind paying for whatever it costs, if it’s good and as stated in the menu, but it should at least contain enough of the main ingredient to call it a lobster slider.
I used to come here for lunch and just learned to day they charge $4 to share a sandwich. Outrageous, especially since we did not ask for additional plate. My wife and usually always split food so we don’t overeat and std ourselves. No explanation given. Won’t come back until policy changes.
To owner. I received your response, thank you. Yes, the kind waitress did explain and that’s why I requested condiment on side with no extra plate. Therefore we just order one meal and didn’t split (Just want to be sure you have correct info). Not sure about high volume of people sharing but observed the other couple of patrons ordering full meals. Recommend check facts for a meal split as Facts though. I know we used to eat at fallbrook cafe for years until they did same tactic. Please review you policy, it’s a nice place for a midday snack. Thank you for getting back. I wish your...
Read moreWent for a late lunch when we realized there was a cafe inside the Fallbrook Art Center. The atmosphere reminded me of some of the French style bistros that were popular in the 80s. Wonderful! Lots of special touches, serene dark blue walls and friendly staff. Also sparkling clean! Talked to Scott, the owner, and he shared a bit of his vision for the place. The tablecloths and cloth napkins set the scene for a thoroughly enjoyable experience. And the food... Be patient, because everything is prepared to order. I had the Lobster Grilled Cheese and it was a perfect blend of lobster, butter and a hint of lemon grilled on sourdough with gruyere cheese. Not one ingredient overwhelmed the others - tricky to pull off. Sorry about the half sandwich picture - it was so delicious I forgot to take it before it was half gone! The panini was also reported to be...
