I dropped into Casa Del Lago Mexican restaurant in Granite Bay, CA, for a late lunch on a recent lazy weekend afternoon. I’ve never been here before, driven by lots of times. Hubs and I enjoyed our meals. The food was tasty, flavorful. The service was top notch. The prices were reasonable. The ambiance was chill. The interior had a Spanish hacienda design. They have a separate bar area.

As I was looking at the menu, the first thing that caught my eye were the prices. I was anticipating them to be higher. But was pleasantly surprised. The one item combo was $12.99 and two item was $14.99. If you are a light eater, they sell al la carte items (hard shell tacos $5.25; enchiladas, tamales, and chile relleno $6-$8) and sides. Another thing I noticed was the diverse menu choices including a couple of vegan dishes. Lastly I noticed they sell bottled Jarritos and Mexican Coke. Wonderful that they offer non-HFCS soda options as well. Plus they offer a variety of wines, beers, cocktails, and margaritas.

Hubs ordered the crispy shredded beef taco combo $12.99 and I ordered the carne asada plate $19.95. The shredded beef in the taco was delicious. It was moist but still had a wonderful crisp sear to it. It was seasoned well, packed with flavor. The taco shell was freshly fried. The carne asada was super thin. It was seasoned well. Both plates came with Spanish rice and refried beans. Yum. The complimentary chips and salsa hit the spot. The salsa is delicious; it has a sweetness and a spiciness. Nice...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Casa del Lago, and I must say, the experience was made exceptional by our server, Andrea. From the moment we were seated, Andrea greeted us with a warm and genuine smile, setting a positive tone for the entire meal. Her knowledge of the menu was impressive; she provided excellent recommendations and was able to answer all our questions with ease.

Throughout our dining experience, Andrea's attentiveness was remarkable. She ensured our drinks were always topped up and checked in on us at just the right moments, without being intrusive. Her timing was impeccable, and she managed to balance multiple tables with grace and efficiency.

What truly stood out was Andrea's friendly demeanor and her ability to make us feel welcome and valued. She went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable meal, even offering to customize certain dishes to better suit our preferences. Thanks to Andrea, our visit to Casa del Lago was not only delicious but also incredibly enjoyable. I highly recommend requesting Andrea as your server for an outstanding...

Casa Del Lago holds a special place in my heart as my boyfriend and I's first date spot, and also where he surprised me with a birthday party. Every time we visit, the staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel like part of the family. The environment is cozy and inviting, complemented perfectly by the delicious food they serve.

You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Personally, I love the shrimp burrito, while my boyfriend is a fan of the chile colorado. The flautas are yummy, and their guacamole is fantastic. A must-try are the El Jefe margaritas – they are simply amazing!

Casa Del Lago is not just a restaurant; it's a warm and welcoming experience, thanks to the exceptional staff who always go above and beyond. If you haven't already, do yourself a favor and check them out – you won't be...

Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Not overly crowded with lots of tables. My favorite was the salsa that was sweet yet spicy and rich in flavor. I had the chicken fajita's and everything about it was great. I like my food hot and it was piping hot when delivered. The manager came and talked to us and constantly made sure we were happy and things were good. One of the best mexican food restaurants i have ever had.

Friendly service in a beautiful place. But the fun stops there. The salsa was too hot and just tomatoes. Blah. The Cadillac Margarita was sour and weak. Needed to add a shot of Gran Marnier for $9.50 ea. Then the food. The Chicken Fajita Salad was basically with onions and peppers. Add lots of dressing to make it a salad. The Chile Relleno was overcooked and soggy. So disappointing.
