Hey there, foodies! I'm here to tell you about my latest obsession - "Best Dim Sum"! This spot is seriously the holy grail of Chinese cuisine and authentic dim sum. Tucked away in a quiet corner of town, it's become one of my absolute faves for some seriously delicious eats.
The moment you walk in, you'll be greeted by Lina, she’s the one who wears glasses!
And let me tell you, the food here is just outstanding. I've been to "Best Dim Sum" three times now, and each time I'm absolutely blown away by the quality and flavors of the dishes. The dim sum is the real standout here, folks. It's seriously some of the best I've ever had - even beating out some famous Bay Area spots like Koi Palace and Din Tai Fung.
But what's even better? The prices! Unlike other high-end dim sum restaurants, you won't have to break the bank to enjoy an incredible meal here. It's no wonder that Lina's restaurant is quickly becoming a local favorite.
Now, let's get to the must-haves. You absolutely have to try the Beef or House Chow Fun (with gravy), Sui Mai, Shanghai Meat Dumplings, Har Gow (shrimp dumplings), and the Golden Shrimp Rice Roll. And for dessert? Oh, baby. You have to try the baked custard pineapple buns. They are serious to die for, especially when paired with a cup of tea.
And don't even get me started on the dipping sauce. It's a game-changer. You'll have to make it yourself, but don't worry - just ask for the three ingredients: soy sauce, red vinegar, and chili oil. And chances are, the chili oil and soy sauce will already be on your table.
Now, "Best Dim Sum" is still a relatively new restaurant, so the service may not be perfect just yet. But Lina's aware of it, and she's working hard to hire more staff to make the experience even better for her customers. In the meantime, just focus on the amazing food, which is seriously top-notch.
In conclusion, if you're on the hunt for the best dim sum around, served at affordable prices, then "Best Dim Sum" is the spot for you. With its authentic flavors and friendly vibe, it's quickly becoming a must-visit destination for anyone who loves Chinese cuisine. Trust me, you won't regret it! Tell her you are a...
Read moreCame here because we wanted to see if there was a good dim sum place that was closer to us. Note: this dim sum place does not have carts going around. We were sorely disappointed with this place. First, the service. We ordered the siu mai, spare ribs with black bean sauce, the BBQ pork and shrimp rice rolls from the dim sum menu and the house special chow fun (with gravy) and fish with black bean sauce from the a la carte menu. For those who are more versed in dim sum ordering, this is not a lot of food. It took the staff 45 min to get all of the food out to us. They didn't seem organized or coordinated at all. We were tucked away in a small corner and it felt like they forgot about us, especially being right by the kitchen entrance. We saw so much food pass by us for other tables. Second, the food. At best, the food was mid. The black bean flavor did not bloom as much as we wanted and the rice noodles were all bunched up and thick (not in a good way). The flavors overall were okay, nothing to write home to. For the name of the place to boast the best dim sum, we expected better. Third, the price. Compared to other dim sum places in the Greater Sacramento area, they are at least $1-2 more expensive per dish. Also, their a la carte menu items are quite expensive especially considering the presentation of each dish and lack of coordination on their part.
Now, I understand that restaurants have their off days and being understaffed can be a real pain on a small business. Considering everything, it was a real...
Read moreFirst time we went there for dim sum brunch was rated w a 4. Second time was on a weekend and was a little busy. They had 2 young boys running around helping the servers scratching out the food on the order list brought to the table. They had people screaming at each other in the kitchen . The porridge was very different from what we ordered the first time we went there. Food was cold. I like my food hot. Every time the server bring food out from the kitchen they kept on looking at our order list trying to find out if the food they were carrying was ours or not. The beef tripe was so tough and had to return it. A min passed by and the tripe came back with no difference on its texture. Maybe re heated up in a microwave. We gave them a third chance and went on a Monday. We were the only ones there. The porridge, the chicken wings and the chow mien all tasted the same. Seems like it had lots MSG on it. We didn't finish what we ordered. All the 3 visits had different version of cooking. The dim sum were ok if served hot. Porridge was prepared 3 different ways on out visit. The last visit was terrible, it wasn't hot. NO, WE ARE NOT...
