It’s always a hit or miss with their customer service. Went there on the weekend for Menudo. After 30 minutes of waiting and noticing a couple of customers who got there after me but get their menudo first, I asked one of the female workers to check on my order. With an attitude she responded with “that’s how long orders are taking to come out”. She went to the back an in a couple of minutes came back with a completely different attitude asking to see my receipt. Took it with her and never came back. I got up to go ask for my money back when one of the servers came out with our bowls. He told us our ticket/receipt had gotten “lost” and that’s why it took so long. It’s frustrating to have their “ready” made menudo take so long and being told that 30 minutes is the normal wait time for it when clearly it is not. So we decided to stay and try to enjoy the menudo. We asked for a chopped up chile serrano to go with our menudo. No problem, that’ll be $1.00 and .50 cents for using debit because we didn’t have a dollar on us. Having the opportunity to compensate for the wait time, they decided to not care and still charge us for ONE chile. Unbelievable! Some of their food is good but not good for them to be so greedy and unappreciative of their customers…....
Read moreWe met the owner Senior Martinez at a fund raiser and got to know him and asked what business he was in. He said he is the owner of Casa Martinez and makes the Menudo himself on Sat n Sun. So today we stopped in and tried a large bowl of Menudo n one of Pozole with homemade tortillas and two coffees. First of all parking is very tight and we parked down the neighborhood. Second it gets real busy by 9am were the line starts lining up out the door. We were there at 8:30am. So we got a table with no problem. The Menudo had a deep dark red chile color and the flavor was very good with medium hot Spicy flavor. The corn had good texture with a little snap not mushy. The stomach lining was cooked just right. As for the Pozole it came with plenty of beef and corn. The red soup was also very tasty. The homemade white corn tortillas were perfect. Even the coffee was spiced with Caramel making it enjoyable to drink in clay jaritas. Overall, it was the best Menudo n Pozole we have tried. Every other 4 person in line came in with a large empty pot in there hands waiting to buy Menudo to go. That was incredible to see. Definelty a locals favorite. Come and check it out. You won't be...
