Country Kitchen — Restaurant in California

Went there with a friend for a late breakfast. Had to practically beg for menu and coffee. ( There was only one other person dining in there) we both ordered the new York steak and eggs, with a grilled jalapeno. $13.99 and a cup of coffee. Had to ask for napkins and silverware when food was brought out. Bill ended up being $19.78 That's kinda expensive coffee or little jalapeno! Paid with my debit card (definitely no tip after that) I got my receipt in hand, that SHE GAVE ME showed a total of $19.78. (I have the proof) After getting home, I get a timestamped email regarding my debit card, and I was charged $23.74!!!!! Did she help herself to a tip??!! My friend who had the EXACT same thing as I, was charged $19.78!! ( Still too much for a coffee for five bucks) but then for me to be charged another FOUR DOLLARS??!!!!! REALLY?!!! Nice that seniors like myself are ripped off...

We absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!!! (North chester location) the two waitresses are amazing! The food portions are huge and almost falling off the plate. Not to mention the food there is excellent, and the prices are good. They went up on their prices about a $1.00 or less . ...but it's still well worth it! You can get a HUGE breakfast plate for $9.00 and under. They are usually packed on the weekends in the mornings especially Sundays because they are well known for their breakfast! I highly recommend this place. In my opinion nowhere else can compare to their food, big portions and low prices...

The food is great but I've had bad service from one waitress who is really unprofessionally at least the service i got from her its the older waitress with that problem the younger waitress is very kind professional and always checking if your need anything the way service should be anywhere you dine where only there for not long just to enjoy there meals but with service from that gal makes me loose appetite so my tip to that waitress is practice on your people skills and treat everyone...
