La Tapatia Mexican Grill — Restaurant in California

I've found if we eat there the food and service is excellent but if you order take out it takes them forever, you get smaller portions of rice and beans, the food is never hot and often our order is wrong or we don't get some of what we ordered. I saw a guy leave the restaurant tonight with his to go order after the waitress assured him everything he ordered was in the bag but then about 2 minutes after he left she ran out the door carrying a bag with two containers inside. She had forgotten to give him part of his order and she was too late in trying to get it to him so he didn't get all he paid for. I got home with my order to find I got one meal that was chicken instead of the beef that I had ordered and my flauta had no guacamole and sour cream on it. It was dry, cold and...well all our order ( about $48.00 plus change) went to the garbage can! I hope they change how they treat their to go orders soon or I won't be going back! This was my first time at this place it took forever to get our food then our waitress was horrible her name was Lily first she got our order wrong not once, but twice I mean she literally brought two plates of food that absolutely no one ordered. Which meant half of the table had to wait even longer to get their food and for her to get it right. Then she got an attitude with us even though she is the one who got it wrong. PLUS not once did she ask us if we needed anything else or to offer any refills on drinks or chips we had to ask other waitresses for things that we needed as they walked by. Then she comes and leaves the check but keeps walking so she didnt hear my mom say excuse me because she wanted to ask for a container so I had to get up and ask for it myself. First impressions are everything and our experience with her was horrible. I will never return to this place and will be sure to advise others...

Edit: Nothing like leaving a review and being told you're wrong. What a trashy place. The customer in question and her were shooting the breeze and taking about personal life. You're probably the girl in question.

I became a regular here about 4 months ago. I usually come at night about a hour before they close. Service is good, food is even better.

Well today I came in the middle of the day. Me and 3 other people totaling 3 tables.
