I saw the “grand reviews” of this place! Mines, will be an honest opinion. Sunday around 7 p.m. looking to finally, taste the food, being a cook. I know, how food is handled, Was hoping to have some tasty food, chose to order out. Im not gonna knock the place location down because i live near the lication, i will say the place, is dark. At that hour. Almost looks closed. Now the asada taco combination plate! The online menu price! ARE NOT the current ones! I read, that plate was $8, n an asada torta $9, taco beef, tasted as if it was left out, grossed me out! Beans, flavor less, so was the rice. 2 Tacos, rice beans, $13! Didn’t think of adding any lemon nor salsa! No napkins, no utinsels! Hubby asked the torta price? $13. Sorry i. Know inflation hit! But nope! We can buy a good steak for less than that, asked to use the restroom, thdy handed him keys. I is a wooden shack outside. We think? He didn’t find it! I ended up throwing out the gross tacos! N whole plate! Absolutely dissapointed! My cooking is way tastier, idk about “home cooking taste”....

Really great food. Looks on the outside like a normal Mexican food spot. Walk inside to a welcoming relaxing atmosphere and the smiling faces of staff. I got the sense staff was genuinely happy for me to be there. When I ordered Chili Verde Burrito, no sauce, side of crinkle cut fries and soda he didn't even blink an eye. Seemed like he was gone for a nano second and was back with salsa and chips. They have hotter salsa available if you ask and will get your meal to your liking. Carne Asada French fries etc. The food is great. Huge burritos. The cost is below normal making it affordable to eat there. I ask how can you make profit with the low prices. Response was if you have higher prices no one will come. I've come to love El Taquito and learned it is locally owned for 30 plus years. Always drove by this hole-in-the-wall Messican Restaurant. So what do I do? Check the reviews for this place and I was hard pressed to believe that this place had good ratings. The food looked good while scanning through peoples photos. Jumped the gun and took my family here for the first time on a Saturday. Saturday because I knew my wife would have liked to try their menudo. So as we arrive my kids were wondering why we were in this part of town and surprised the heck out of them. I couldn't contain my myself. I laughed and said we were going to try this place out. We are also connoisseurs of the Carne Asada Fries. They have this item but not on the menu.
