This place usually has the best French Onion Soup in town. On this visit I ordered a small bowl as I was in a hurry to make a Dr. Apt. I was very disappointed in that there were NO caramelized onions in the soup. I informed my waiter and his reply "I will keep an eye on the cook" ??? Well thats great for the next person that orders this soup. However it did not make me feel all warm and fuzzy ! ! ! I will go back but it will be a while and I hope to get a waiter or waitres that will look out for my order first and then the next one and so on ~ ~ ~ Moral of the story: "cut the cheese" & "DIG FOR ONIONS" in there French Onion Soup ! ! ! I WENT BACK AND WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT ! No Gruyere chese here ! ! ! I went back for a bowl of French onion soup again this time we got a waitress that had a bizarre accent and neither one of us could understand what she’s saying so they sent the chef out I believe that is who he was. I asked him politely if they used grayer cheese in their French onion soup and I was surprised to find out they did not. I asked if they had any that they could substitute and I was told NO!!!! I advised the chef that the last time I was there for the soup I got a bowl with no caramelized onions and requested that he make sure this time that there were caramelized onions in the soup Apparently, he didn’t listen or didn’t care because the soup had an enormous amount of some kind of cheese that I didn’t like, and couldn't eat and there wasn’t one caramelized onion in that bowl!! My date on this occasion was vegan and she ordered some toast. It came out with some slices of tomato. That was the only thing they could muster up? I got the check. It was $22 for a cup of soup and a couple pieces of toast? A tad high in my opinion ! Moral the story don’t go here if you’re vegan or if you’re looking for a GOOD bowl of French Onion Soup as "they don’t have it" and "REFUSE TO MAKE IT" ? Recommendation "Plan B Restaurant" It's right next door ! $$$ French 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

I'm surprised on how much I LOVE their version of Eggs Benedict. Instead of ham steak on an English muffin they do black forest deli ham on a baguette, so it's kind of like an open faced sandwich meets eggs Benedict. Plus they make their hollandaise sauce in house from scratch, rather than using the stuff from a packet. Bright flavor from the sauce complemented the creamy texture, and crispness of the toasted baguette marvelously. The dessert crepe I got I custom ordered strawberries in the banana crepe. I feel like giving them the benefit of the doubt here. The constructive criticism I'd offer is the beat the crepe batter less. The crepe was a bit tough and chewy - a sign of the batter being over beaten. I know if the batter is not beat enough the crepe will fall apart because of it being tender and delicate. It's a balancing act and I recognize it's not easy to get perfect. The chocolate was nice, if it were me I'd sprinkle some kaldon flake salt or kosher sea salt on top to add depth of flavor to the rich semi sweet drizzle. This is my first time in and the first thing I've had. Service is kind and friendly. Physical environment looks a bit worn, and kind of bland. Neutral colors are good, but there's not much character to the environment.

My buddies called and asked if I’d like to meet them at Danielle’s Creperies for breakfast so I put on my pants and headed out.. I ordered the California Benedict with scrambled eggs instead of poached eggs and it was honestly one of the best Benedict I’ve ever had. The sauce was perfect and instead of it being on top of an English muffin, it was on a buttered baguette just put this Benedict everyone else. My wife ordered the basic two egg breakfast and met her expectations of deliciousness. One of my buddies ordered a savory crêpe and her wife ordered a sweet crêpe. I tried the sweet crêpe that was also delicious. It was the banana chocolate or maybe that was Nutella and sliced almonds also super delicious. We arrived here on a Saturday morning at about 915 and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves. They have inside dining and an outside patio area if you’re feeling like you want breakfast on a patio The inside dining area is slightly outdated and what appears to be a French motif. Although outdated it was clean and smelled good. We were attended too quickly. Our food came out quickly at our beverages never got too empty. If you’re in the area and you have a hankering for a delicious breakfast, I suggest Danielle‘s crêperie .

My ultimate review of this place is... conflicted. I recently visited for the first time with a small group, and none of us knew how to feel. I spent some time (as in, over a week) going back and forth on whether or not to make a review.

Going into the restaurant, every other restaurant in the area was visibly very busy... except for this one, which was nearly empty. That was the first thing that gave me questions, but hey, could just be a slow day, other places could have things going on. Staff were polite, so that was a good sign.

When we ordered savory crepes, all of them ranged from "cold" to "lukewarm". The crepe itself was a bit too thick, chewy, and tasted disconcertingly doughy, like they were undercooked. We asked our waiter about it, who returned with the exact same crepes, now microwaved. This wouldn't be quite so much of an issue if they weren't still lukewarm at best, and if the crepes themselves weren't undercooked. Flavor-wise, the fillings were... inoffensive? Not exactly stand-out, but not bad either. The fillings were cooked through, but that gave me concerns about how long they'd been there if they were cold.

We stayed for dessert, which was much better. Crepes were still thicker than I'd want for a crepe, but cooked all the way through this time, and the flavor was pretty good. (Somehow they were warmer than the savory ones? Not complaining about the dessert being warm, of course, but still funny.) Ultimately I don't have many problems on the dessert end.

If you come here, I'd say to just come for dessert, but I'm not sure it's worth the price. Maybe we happened to come on an off day, considering the amount of positive reviews, but we just...

Oh Boy! Are crepes supposed to be chewy, thick and tasteless? This little shop on the corner carries 4.5 stars which sounded wonderful. We decided on a late lunch where we were greeted with smiles and kindness. Leaving the excellent service aside for the moment the remainder of the experience caught us off guard. These weren't crepes they were oversized hot pockets stuffed with an abundance of cheese covering up the remaining tasteless ingredients. Did I mention the excellent wait staff. Good. They deserve the tips they receive.

4.5 stars? I don't get it? Generally, even when I don't agree with a star rating I want to find what is good...did I mention the wait staff? I did? Good!

Here's the disappointment- I was looking forward to enjoying a nice light and airy crepe wrapped around tasty morsels of goodness. Maybe I was being to reminiscent of our Europe travels sitting with friends enjoying the moment.

Maybe I'm missing the point and they've made their reputation on a unique expression of crepe? Thereby gathering what I'm assuming are very loyal followers who enjoy this style? It was just too far outside my limited culinary reach to accept.

But hey --- did I mention the excellent wait staff?! Good!

2 Stars for the service and the coffee. I'm...
