Walking north in Half Moon Bay toward Mavericks, it was the last coffee place I could find. And as luck would have it, it was great. Small place. It's built out of a couple of metal freight containers. They have a few nice coffee blends and all the basic drinks. Few yummy eats as well.
I enjoyed the latte with oat milk. Comes with 4 shots, but you know, it wasn't overly strong. Tasted fantastic. And for a mid-morning snack, the locally made hummingbird bread. Fresh and homemade. See photo for label info.
Service was ok. It worked but not that friendly.
The best thing about Dawn Patrol is the seating area. A few little seat pockets, a few of them under a sturdily built, covered structure. And a gas-powered fire pit also....

My husband loved the mocha they made. They were out of a lot of food and had one Danish on display. They had a breakfast cookie, so I settled for that. When I came back for a napkin, they put another Danish out, which was weird. Why not have what you have on display or have a "display only" sign. The kicker was there was no where to sit. However, the coffee itself was very very sweet. Too sweet almost. The caramel in my drink was not well mixed and we both ended up not drinking more than half of our respected drinks. Also, the prices were quite high. We paid about $17 for two drinks. If you are looking for a quick cup in the HMB harbor area, go for it. Otherwise there might be better...
