We Love the Fallbrook Denny's! The service here is always most excellent and performed by sweet and friendly people. The 24 open hours was thought to be such a privilege and comfort to have in the Little Ol' town of Fallbrook, a place that no one drives through to get to anywhere else. This gives us the luxury of a small village town feel, however, it's not the best of facts for a 24hr Denny's. For now the hours of a 10 pm closing are certainly understandable and I for one am grateful for our Denny's, the only one in California to my awareness that happens to be situated off the beaten path of passerbys or highways, and stays for us in a little village town for us alone, and those with business in a small town. Also, the food is always great, and if you don't agree, they'll always make it right. I'm feeling Nostalgic as faces of businesses change in challenging times because Denny's has always been a part of my history. It's diner food, something yummy for everyone, and the prices are good. Thank you, Fallbrook Denny's, for being here for us and for keeping that hometown vibe of an unrushed place to hang out, or grab a quick bite if needed, for feeling like back-in-the-day to current and hip, for all the good memories and after the clubs close place to eat and continue the lively energy from all the patrons, for being one of the numerous Denny's that are part of my different local and travel fond memories. It is good to still see your familiar name from the ol' days. You have no idea how important Denny's has been for me since a teen, and it may seem silly to some, but after 50 years there becomes something magical and wonderful about Denny's, especially the after hours vibe and the amazing servers, especially the pros of years, all adding to the experience with impossible Grace and talent. From the Escondido Denny's, to all the Denny's in my life, and now a very special gratitude for our small town very own Denny's, Thank you for still being here. I think it would just be wonderful if you knew how much you feel like home. We love you, Denny's! You are the hometown diner in...
Read moreInitial walk-in was friendly. We were greeted by the server, she seated us and took our drink orders right away. The only thing I could say that was unpleasant was the smell of the carpet. If you can get past that, you’ll have a pleasant experience. I chose to overlook it at the time. We ordered coffee, orange juice and water with lemon for beverages. The atmosphere was nice and quiet for the early morning. There were a couple of other locals there for breakfast and it genuinely seemed like a nice place to go for a good hot meal. I’ll start with the beverages. The coffee was hot, fresh, and robust. I didn’t try the juice. As for the food, everything came out of the kitchen appetizing. I ordered the very berry pancakes with scrambled eggs and sausage links. The pancakes were blueberry pancakes with fresh strawberries and banana on top, I added diced tomatoes and sprinkle cheese to the eggs, with sausage links. Everything tasted fresh, hot, and delicious. If I lived in Fallbrook this would be a regular place I would dine for breakfast. My partner enjoyed his lumber jack slam, he just didn’t have room for the pancakes. The service: there was one server early Saturday morning, she did fabulous. Although she had her hands full with all the other patrons as well, she managed to check on all of us, and keep our coffee cups full. What a pro!!Bottom line: I’m back home in Texas, longing to go have breakfast at the Denny’s in Fallbrook. Management, kudos to the staff and the excellent quality of fare! Oh and btw, I know the staff at this establishment are hard workers. The Hispanic male that does the bussing was also busy cleaning the...
Read moreI've dined inside this Denny's before and they weren't that bad, typical diner style food, but no major complaints. I highly recommend however, that you do not order delivery!! I ordered the chicken fried steak with red skin mashed potatoes and zucchini and squash veggies. I thought to myself "how bad can it be, delivered?" Well, it was BAD. Everything was cold, and there's not much worse than cold chicken fried steak (had decent flavor though), the mashed potatoes were soupy and my veggies looked well cooked, but were very undercooked. I also ordered a side of boneless wings and they were more like Buffalo Gnocchi. The "wings" were tiny chunks and were so mushy that I couldn't even eat a whole one...gross!! I also ordered a Cobb salad with prime rib for my husband thinking, "how bad can they mess up a salad?"....well, they won the award for best horrible salad. The eggs were like rubber, one of the grape tomatoes had mold on it, the prime rib looked like canned dog food, the lettuce was brown and they didn't include the dressing (sorry, my husband threw it in the trash before I could take a pic). Needless to say, I will never order from this place again and will never step foot in their restaurant again. They should be ashamed of themselves for even letting food like this...
