I’ve been to this Casino a few times with my wife, and today I brought my daughter and my mom with us to Morongo Casino. We were getting hungry so we stopped at this restaurant (cafe good times) to eat. It was about 3PM on a Thursday. We were seated by a host and told that a waitress would be with us shortly. It wasn’t long of a wait before our waitress had come to our table to take our drink order. After placing our drink order about 10 minutes later the waitress brought out our drinks. One at a time…(there was four of us) I found it odd at first, but ok. Another 10-15 minutes goes by after getting our drinks and the waitress asks if we are ready to place our order, in which we do. I counted literally 9 waitress 3 cooks in the back and 2 hostess in the front. (Staff on duty) other than ourselves in the Resturaunt, there were 3 other families there dining. 45 minutes goes by and our waitress is nowhere to be seen. We see our order from across the way, ready. Our food is sitting under a heat lamp for 10 minutes of that 45 minutes. Another waitress( not ours, but one of the 9 that are standing around talking. Our waitress was nowhere to be seen) came to our table and asked if we needed anything, and my mom and daughter politely pointed out that they thought our order was sitting across the room under the heat lamp. She went and checked, and sure enough, there was our food for the last 10 minutes sitting under the heat lamp unattended. The cook several times called out to the other waitresses, and pointed to our table to get their attention, to no avail. Two other waitresses other than ours brought our food to the table. When our waitress noticed them bringing our food to the table she asked us “is there anything else I can get for you?”Attention to our table was too little, too late. I could completely understand if they were extremely busy and understaffed, but that was definitely not the case.
The food was extremely delicious, absolutely no complaints there. The price was a little high, but I don’t mind spending good money for an excellent meal. The atmosphere is casual. But the service is EXTREMELY POOR. A+ for the meal and D- for the service. It might explain exactly why the buffet line was 60 people deep and cafe good...
Read moreI am not one to usually leave reviews, but this location really made me upset due to their actions. My family and I went here for mother’s day dinner. I understand it is mother’s day and a wait time is expected. Once we were seated, they were quick to take our order. During the time we waited for our food, nobody approached us to ask if we were okay or inform us that they were running behind or short staff. After a 2 hour wait for food, I finally stood up to politely ask how much longer. My mother was feeling unwell so I asked for a bag since she felt like she was going to throw up. After I asked for the bag, the manager approached us to see if we were okay then left. They waited for our food to arrive and after we had taken a bite or two out of our plates the manager returned with security and a paramedic to let us know we needed to leave because my mother was throwing up. This could have been communicated to us before the food arrived or she could have asked my mother to step outside. What has me most upset is that they waited until the food was touched to kick us out. We were there waiting for over 2 hours and at no moment did anyone check up on us. They still had audacity to tell us we were required to pay our full bill when we hadn’t even taken more than 2 or 3 bites. The management present that moment at this location has no consideration for customer service. All she cared about was making sure we didn’t leave without paying. I asked the manager why she was doing all of this until now and it wasn’t addressed before. She remained quiet just looking at me with a blank stare and didn’t respond. This was a horrible experience especially during mother’s day. Definitely do not recommend this specific restaurant. I’m not speaking about the rest of Morongo just this restaurant. “Good Times” ? Nope, for sure not a good time at all. Save yourself the time and money try a different restaurant...
Read moreTook my elderly parents to this restaurant after shopping at the outlets. Sat at the bar while we waited for a table as my parents have physical disabilities and cannot stand for a long time. They sat at the lower counter which is for disabled people. A waiter went to place menus for them but I explained we were only going to be there for a few minutes. Another bar employee came to us and passive aggressively told us that that area was only for wheelchairs. I tried to explain to her we were only there for a few minutes, and my father was a bit dizzy and told her my father actually does use a wheelchair but I had to go get it from the car. The employee just kept repeating “ only for wheelchairs ok”. My father is 91 years old using walking device and wheelchair and my mother suffering from sciatica but this woman was like a robot and talking down to us keep in mind that the bar was pretty empty. Please be more humane as you never know when will be your day to be of old age and disabled. I didn’t complain to the manager because I didn’t want to cause more stress to my parents, therefore here I am writing this. I do have to say that the waitress who served us after and the food were...
