After looking at a few reviews the wife, brother in law, sister and law, and nieces settled on this place for brunch. It was a busy day so I put my name on the wait list, and we were sat about 20-30 min later. For drinks the ladies had peach bellinis which they enjoyed, the brother in law had a mimosa which he downed so it had to be good, and I had a Johnny sunrise, which was pretty good. The co-owner, Tammy, who sat us, also brought us cinnamon rolls and coffee cake for the table, free of charge. For food the wife ordered the California omelet which she didn't like because it had chicken in it and she didn't realize that's how it came prepared. The sister in law had the bistro benedict which she thought was pretty good, the brother in law had the veggie benedict which he loved, the nieces had pancakes and bacon which they enjoyed but couldn't finish, and I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes. The chocolate chips were on top, but they were pretty good. Tammy is the best. She kept coming by chatting w/us and topping off the drinks at the table. She also brought me another drink w/o me asking. Very personable and nice. Parking is pretty scarce if it's crowded, but it's a cool place w/good food and great staff. Would definitely recommend.

We have gone here twice over the last two months. Most recent visit was about two weeks ago. We were seated at this odd little table next to the bar. It felt like what used to be a waiting area for those waiting for a table. There was an odd box of alcohol next to us. Picture included. Went by the restaurant just a few days ago- box was still sitting there. They don’t have clear zoning for servers. We were asked by maybe five different servers and ten times total if we were ready to give our order. We finally order our food. It comes out a short bit later. Our food was cold. We called a male server over to tell him. His response was “Well. We cooked it.” And then he just stared at us. Never apologized or offered to do anything. My wife asked him to please bring her out another plate with warm food. I kept mine because I was over the whole experience. They did bring her out a plate of warm food. Breakfast food is fine. I had the hamburger the visit before. Tasted like a frozen burger from the freezer. Nothing tastes like it’s made fresh. Prices are too high if that’s the case. I don’t have intentions of going back. Especially after this last round of truly awful service. Too bad. It’s one of the only places we can walk to.

Stepping into Heavenly Bistro is like stepping into a warm hug. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sizzling country potatoes heavy in the air, instantly whetting your appetite. As a food enthusiast and occasional critic, I can confidently say this place scores high on both comfort and flavor. Their breakfast menu is a celebration of all things delicious. While I tend towards savory options, the California Omelette here is a masterpiece. Packed with fluffy scrambled farm eggs, served with country potatoes and your choice of whole wheat, sourdough or rye toast, creamy avocado, and melty cheese, it's a flavor explosion in every bite. The classic eggs Benedict strike the perfect balance between rich hollandaise, perfectly cooked Canadian salmon, and a delightful English muffin. But don't miss the Heavenly Crepes - they're a must-have! Light and airy crepes are the perfect canvas for a variety of fillings, fresh mixed berries, raspberry sauce and whipped cream, both sweet and savory. No matter your preference, Heavenly Bistro offers a delightful breakfast or lunch experience that will leave you feeling happy and satisfied.

I'm disappointed every time I come here but this last time was my last time ever going. I ordered a sausage breakfast burrito to go for almost TWENTY dollars and I got a burrito that had almost no sausage and was mostly potatoes with a side of MORE potatoes. Talk about price gouging for the cheapest ingredients a restaurant can buy.

UPDATE: went from 3 stars down to 1 because of how the employees handled the situation. I drove back to return the food and get a refund. The guy came up to me and opened up my order and started digging his hands through it ignoring me when I asked if the manager I just spoke to on the phone was here. I asked 2 more times before he answered me. He said the manager is not here and grabbed the woman he told me was the manager on the phone. She came over and told me she wasn't the manager. I asked when they will be back so I can speak to them. She said she has no idea so I asked if she could have them give me a call later but she picked up my order, walked away and said we will void your payment and to have a nice day then dissappeared into the kitchen. I asked the guy that was still there if I can get a receipt for that voided payment and he looked straight at me then turned around and walked away ignoring me. I finally got them to void my payment and give me the receipt after literally teaching them myself how to look up the receipt on TOAST because he didn't know how to do it. This entire thing could have been avoided with a simple "I'm sorry we didn't meet your expectations. Here is your voided payment because you brought ALL...

Went to this place because of the Google reviews ,very disappointed about the experience and the food Started OK then we were asked to take any open table and we did When I was ordering food I asked a simple question about what options I had with my combo I was ordering , no answer about options only this in a not friendly way : READ ,READ About them OK! Sorry for asking ! I decided to let that go and continue and forget about it , my wife ordered a beef soup and arrived look good ,first Scoop and found a hair on the soup Oh no ! I was thinking maybe bad luck on us , we put the soup aside And waited for our main 2 breakfast dishes Arrived fast , looked good but not tasted good Seasoned potatoes super salty My wife did not finish but one quarter of the food , on my dish very simple breakfast dish Eggs one small sausage and two slices of beacon no good flavor On scramble eggs ,meat sausage and beacon tasted old and frozen This place definitely is way overrated for sure ,it is not one star either, I am rating our experience At this time , maybe we just had not good luck there at this time ,but there will not be a second chance since we will never be back or recommend to anyone else Bad attitude, not friendly and no good or fresh tasting food Not a great combination Not worthy for the price Even bad food taste better with good...

Seriously - it's THAT good.

From the vital fundamentals of a solid breakfast burrito to the simplicity of a well-made waffle, ranging up to the newest and best spin on chicken fried steak that I've tasted in eight states and a dozen years, Heavenly Bistro has yet to serve up something I haven't enjoyed immensely.

The staff are friendly and active in their greeting of people - though patience is understandably needed when the crowds are thick. The full bar helps pass the time if you're inclined to wait for a table.

From the joy of the chai lattes (which are addictive - be aware) to the easy-going seat-yourself-and-snag-a-menu approach, Heavenly Bistro takes a real Stark-beheading swing at providing great food, prepared well, in a homey atmosphere for a reasonable price... and it hits that solidly.

There is some part of me that wants to keep this delicious little experience to myself - enough people know about it to crowd the tables on a weekend - but the truth is, it's just too good not to rave about.

Located just off Pleasant Hill BART, tucked on a street relatively few people drive on, and hidden in plain sight is one of the finest, most consistently enjoyable places for quality Americana comfort food in the entire East Bay. Make the time to try it out... or don't, and leave that...
