O5.27.2020 My wife and sons decided to try the new Olive Garden place in Elk Grove, CA. They order several dishes for the whole family. They received order and went straight home. They did not take the orders out of the bags and waited for me to get home from work. Got home and was starving and my youngest son said that "mom got you shrimp scampi from Olive Garden for dinner.) As we were unloading the food from the bags, my wife noticed that my dish was missing. First mistake.
So I called Olove Garden and informed them that we were missing an order. No apologies given by the female person on the other end oof the call. Second mistake. But she was kind enough to offer me for my dish if I want to pick it up that time. Informed her, that I can pass by the next day 05.28.2020 between 6:15 - 6:30 pm. Call ended.
05.28.2020 Got to Olive Garden in Elk Grove, CA at 6:10 pm. Drove to the arrival area and I was greeted, asked if my visit was for dine in or pick up. Informed her that it was for a pick up. She asked my name and the first letter of my last name. Told me to wait at the pick up area. Now I looked at the time and it was 6:15 pm. Time passed and it was 6:30 pm, still no food. Waited again for another 10 min, still no food. Called the place from the parking lot and was answered by a female and asked her how much longer for the order? She said, few more minutes and just hung up on me. At that point, I got out of my car and asked the Olive Garden people how much longer for my food that was, mind you an error on their part. Told them I have been waiting for more than 30 minutes, that the order was supposed to be ready for pick up between 6:15-6:30 pm. No apologies given again. She began to ask on their 2 way radio on the status of my order, got back to me and informed me a few more minutes. Turned around a left me. NO APOLOGIES again. Finally, I got my food after almost an hour wait.
Olive Garden of Elk Grove, choose or train your people better, they represent your brand. I might be just one customer, but for sure it will take a long time for me to go back...

It was loud and busy, many kids running around as a we were seated next to a large group celebrating a birthday. We waited 10 mins to be acknowledged by our waitress. She returned 10 mins later to greet us and said she was very busy. She only allowed us to order beverages even though we told her we were ready to order. Another waitress returned to take our order about 15 mins later and apologized for our wait. Again, we waited almost an hour for our waters and we were told our soups would arrive after the new batch was done, which was another 10 min wait. Our waitress did bring out a basket of bread for us and the entrees came out 10 mins later. We were not offered another bowl of soup, which usually the servers do ask. I felt we were ignored and rushed. We tried the new seasonal dishes and they were just ok. I would think again before dining here. Our section felt out of control as there were 2 kids play fighting right next to me as I was trying to eat and the waitress was just running around the restaurant. I think management needs to take a walk around the restaurant to make sure that all guests and servers are taken care of.
Food is delicious as usual. Service from our waitress was lacking. She had forgotten my drink from the bar and the bar tender brought it to me after dinner was served. I can tell the drink had been sitting a while because the glass was sweaty and drink was watered down from the melted ice. We had also ordered dessert but that never came and we were not charged. We purchased the $5 take home pasta and waitresses had also forgotten about that, we had to remind her as we got...
Read moreHeyyy you stopped by my comment! Although this isn’t a complaint about the food or service, this mostly just comes from my work experience I had as a dish washer at Olive. Before I say anything else I would like to remark that I really loved working with my co workers they were family to me plus my managers, but I’m only addressing this to anyone that plans on applying as a dmo/dishwasher that may end up like me, and I say that because my manager who hired me specifically would reduce my days and hours from 4 days a week too 2 days and I knew something was off so I asked and she pretty much told me that I was slow paced and to work faster and gain more progress on what I’m doing. I disagreed but although I didn’t want to say that I pushed myself further learning new techniques from a good friend that knew his stuff I thought everything was going so well because everyone would comment how fast I am and how I may just be getting treated unfairly I knew I had to step it up for myself and talk it out to my manager who arranges my schedule about my performance…. Then she told me the same thing about how I’m not making progress and I’m not retrieving whatever dishes they call for on time, I asked if there were any other positions I could do instead of dmo/dishwashing because I may not be suited for that position, she said not until I master on what I’m doing and from there I knew I was left with no option so I put in my two weeks and instead of two week’s I faced one more week. I was already done playing her games so I bring this message to you all and hopefully there’s a change about it. I worked there for 4 months the location is over at Elk Grove blvd…. I...
