Kiki's Chicken Place — Restaurant in California

I’ve literally never posted a review in my life but this one called for it. I’d heard great things from a few people and have been wanting to try this place out for close to a couple years now. I LOVE chicken, especially fried chicken. It is one of my favorite foods of all time. The customer service was not good. You tell she did not want to be there and she almost seemed pleased by the fact that they do not offer CUPS OF WATER with your meal. Not only is the food overpriced ($17 for 4 tenders and fries with no drink) they are the first restaurant in my entire life that is too cheap to give a customer a complimentary cup of tap water to go with their meal. After purchasing a $17 dollar meal your are then expected to purchase a drink. Bottled water or soft drinks only. Like… do you have cups? Yes. Do they have a faucet? Yes. Then why can’t you pour me a cup of water? Or have one available for me to pour myself? Apparently, it’s to force your customers to purchase a beverage alongside their meal to hit higher sales goals. It made me feel sick. I worked at star bucks for many years in my youth and they had the highest standard of customer service and it noticeably worked to retain a grand base or customers. Not only did we triple filter our water, it was given freely to anyone who asked regardless of what they purchased. That’s how you help keep happy customers. DISGRACEFUL! I’ve never encountered such a rude and disrespectful employee! I came back with the same cup I had previously purchased from this place, which comes with free refills, only to be approached by an extremely rude and aggressive staff member demanding I pay for the cup again — even though it was clearly their own branded cup! The attitude was beyond unprofessional — it was arrogant, hostile, and completely unacceptable. I felt like I was being scolded instead of being treated like a customer. This experience was an absolute disaster. With this kind of treatment, I never want to hear this brand’s name again. I will never return, and I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY. This Kiki’s is a disappointment. The shoe string fries were horrible and hard to eat. It’s like I got the end of the bag or something. Super small and very crunchy. The chicken I feel has gotten smaller. My first tender was two bites. I felt like I wasted my money. When I left I was still hungry. At the other establishments I leave so full I can barely move. If you stay here and eat make sure you do not sit against the wall if you have a shirt you love. My shirt kept snagging on the wall. Great idea for the wall but needs to sanded down or something.
