La Michocana Imperial — Restaurant in California

I’ve been going to La Michocana over by where i live. We go every Friday for dessert. It just so happened that we weren’t in our area last weekend so we tried out this location. From all the locations we have been to this one was the worst. Well for one I tried ordering what I always get a regular cone with mocha and rocky road however i was told i couldn’t get two scoops with that cone which was what I thought dumb. I asked why not ?and she just said we don’t do that? Ok whatever, i just got one then. I also asked to sample arroz con leche she said they were out of spoons. The place inside is nicer then other locations I’ve been to but the service wasn’t good and the ice cream didn’t taste the same. It actually tasted old smelled like freezer burn and had like a weird aftertaste. As im driving home my son’s eating his ice cream and he says omg mom look what I found in my ice cream… it was a piece of the ferrero rocher wrapper. So with that being said I won’t ever go to that location again. Never had any issues...

One star because getting my refund was quick ! But omggggg this Michoacana DOES NOT compare to the other locations I've visited. One understands due to COVID you might be limited on choices, but at least communicate it to the client before FORCING what you DO have on us. Minus one star because there was literally NO ONE there and I still waited to be acknowledged a good 2-3 minutes while the girls were standing there looking at me ? Awkward much? Lol anyway, Minus one star because cashier had no idea what they sell there, and couldn't answer simple questions. Minus one star for giving me the wrong drink, purposely. And MINUS ALL STARS for giving me a bad agua de fresa. This could easily be a lawsuit because that thing was rotten! But this review will do. Please DO BETTER! Ya giving this chain...

This place is way too overpriced and the items offered are subpar and don’t taste as good as other locations. It costs over $7 for two small scoops of ice cream, and one popsicle costs $3.50. They also ridiculously charge $1 for just paying with a card! Their cakes are average at best, most are bland. Unsurprisingly, the place is empty with at most one customer on average. I would steer clear of this particular location and...
