Read moreThe best meal my wife and I have had out, in 15 years of marriage! This is absolutely no embellishment! Let's begin with the selection of fresh (warm) complimentary breads. Each bread was an absolute delight and enough is served for 3 to 4 people to enjoy each kind of bread. Along with this a plate of pickled vegetables is served. I honestly wish I could get the recipe for their pickling brine (enough said)! My wife and I both ordered the Prime Top Sirloin with an herb salsa and garlic mashed potatoes. The entire plate was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The steaks were, bar none, the most tender and flavorful that we have had in a very long time. I honestly cannot overemphasize how good everything was. At the conclusion of our meal I went to pay for it using my Bank of America card, only to realize that the bank placed a hold on the account due to "suspicious activity". It took 45 minutes for Bank of America to answer my call (on hold the whole time). Our server, Scott, brought my wife and daughter drinks and made them comfortable during the wait. It bears mention that Scott was extremely professional and knowledgeable about each of the dishes that we ordered and exactly how they are prepared. Very, very professional and kind!!! It is my honest hope that the owner will read this review and understand how much we appreciate Scott's professionalism and kindness. Without any sort of reservation I highly recommend McPhee's Grill and we will absolutely be back as we plan to make it one of our most cherished hangouts. Lastly, my wife and I are semi accomplished foodies and it is a very rare thing for us to write such a review. It is even rarer to find such gems like...
Read moreIan (the owner) is incredibly rude. I called on 3/26/22 around 5:15 pm to ask about a balance on two gift cards. Ian was frustrated and told me he was too busy to help me and that I should call back another time… I politely explained we were hoping to eat dinner at Mcphees that evening and all I needed to know was the balance on the gift cards. He sighed into the phone and immediately put me on hold. After about 30 seconds of waiting he got back on the phone and asked what the gift card numbers were. I asked him why he was being so rude towards a customer and his response was that he was busy and didn’t really want to deal with this right now. He tried to say he wasn’t aware the gift cards were being used for dinner that evening… like it makes a difference?
Ian, If you are too frustrated to take 1-2 minutes to check a gift card balance then you’re running your business wrong. You could have politely asked for my phone number and called me back at a more convenient time. Even though we were planning on eating dinner that evening I would have happily waited 30 minutes or even an hour to have you call me back. Your lack of professionalism really shows the type of person you are. I hope you treat your employees and other customers better than...
