Meg’s Creamery — Restaurant in California

Used to come to the creamery as a little girl when mom would have laundry to do next door. The place was closed down for nearly a decade before the current owner reopened a few years back. Today was my first time back to The Creamery as an adult. It brought back all the nostalgia of those pleasant childhood memories. The new owner/ operator Kim was very sweet and personable. My cookies and cream milkshake was delicious. I thought the price was a bit steep ($7) but it turns out the shake is 20oz, so actually not bad. The flavor selection was really good for a small shop. They've even retained bubblegum, my childhood favorite. Sep 2024 It's caramel apple season, baby! Just picked one up tonight and it was so good! My kids forced me to share with them, lol. They have a caramel apple milkshake and a caramel apple slushie thing that I want to try next time. Today, I got the the seasonal flavor: pistachio almond. I bet it would be great in a shake or with hot fudge in a cup.

Pros: good ice cream great customer service clean shop wonderful atmosphere. Great to have a littile creamery in town local businesses.

Con: ice cream is a little expensive $3.50 for a very small scoop of ice cream. I'm all about supporting local businesses and willing to pay a little more for local brick and mortar shops but not when your almost 40% higher then your competitors prices. Will have to come down to make me a repeat customer.

I want to to be clear this is no way a negative remark towards this business. If I were a business owner I would want honest feedback to better my company and that is all I am doing. The 4 start has nothing to do with the quality of the store...
