The Rio Pub — Restaurant in Sacramento

I was here a few month's back. My boyfriend and I were looking for our new local because we are new to the area. Our bartender was really cool she was busy but still made time for us. We missed the food but I was so hungry we had the late night dogs and chips. It was good for a dog! The drinks were made well and the prices are pretty standard for bar prices I think. It was a slow night that we went I think a Friday. The bathroom was clean and stocked just a bit dark. The more you drink the less scary it is though. :) We ran into a friendly guy too. Unfortunately, there was a really racist guy talking craziness with my boyfriend which made him very uncomfortable so we haven't gone back. I was hoping to check out...

This place has been around for years, but last few years has changed names and went through a couple owners. They've really renovated the inside and it has a nice little fenced-in area outside. I only went in to eat, not drink, do I can't speak for the drinks, but the food was good. The menu is quite small and a little overpriced, but has tacos, bacon burger, jalapeno burger, fries, onion rings and wings. Staff was very friendly and took time to chat a bit with us. I noticed that a lot of "regulars" visit this place, as the bartenders seemed to know them well. Overall, nice little place to visit every now and again, that's different than anything...

My daughter and I had lunch and found the food to be top of the line. We ordered a hamburger and a Chicken Cesar Salad. Both were cooked and seasoned to perfection. We enjoyed the food so much that I went back to enjoy drinks with friends several times. The prices are very reasonable for both food and drinks and the servers are friendly and interact with patrons making it a very enjoyable evening. I recommend that everyone make a point to try...
