Lucky to be the only place that sells sandwiches in the entire town. I went there just before lunch rush. My 30 minute lunch break⦠Everyone knows a cold bbq pulled pork sandwich takes all of 2 minutes to make. I was told it would take 15-20 minutes which I thought was pretty excessive, but I went with itā¦
Maybe my mistake was to ask for double meat. At 40 minutes I went to the window to ask about my sandwich after watching several people walk up and place their order and leave with food. Finally at about 45 minutes after placing my single sandwich order my name is called. Keep in mind their lunchtime rush that day consisted of maybe 10 people⦠I got my double meat sandwich, er⦠maybe a miscommunication because if a normal sandwich had half the amount of meat it would consist of 95% bread. As it was it was about 80% bread. Not a thick meaty sandwich one would expect when paying after tax $18.50 for one skimpy sandwich and waiting 45 minutes for it during your 30 minute lunch break.
All I can really say is I was very disappointed. And someone NEEDS to open another sandwich shop in Mendocino. The worse thing about a monopoly is the lack of competition allows them to grossly overcharge people and they do not care one bit if you walk away happy or not. Felt weird doing it but instead of putting money in the tip jar I just had to walk away with my āgoldenā sandwich AND my change⦠no tip this time. Sadly after returning back to work way late, I was...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis was a nice place to come get some lunch and chill for a little bit! I had the clam chowder with some sourdough bread and it was delicious; it was very creamy, hot, and had some nice tender clam morsels and potato pieces. A good hardy soup for a cold day. My boyfriend also had a hot pastrami sandwich I think..? He was definitely enjoying it and we're happy we stopped here. They also had a really good honey vanilla cream soda that was super sweet! You don't wanna look at the label though Haha it was very high in sugar so we shared it :) Also one of the owners was there, I think his name was Eric, he was super nice and helpful; he recommended some of the menu items to us. He was friendly and seemed laid back which was nice and made the atmosphere comfortable for us. When we went to sit down he also wiped our table down for us which was very considerate of him. It wasn't too crowded or anything either which was nice because sometimes little places can get loud really fast with just a few people but it wasn't like that here. I would recommend this place if you're looking for somewhere nice to get a soup or sandwich for lunch and to just kind of relax for a little bit after walking...

We also made an excellent last minute decision to try the potato salad and indulge on a small slice of tiramisu for desert. Why tiramisu? Because itās my favorite desert on earth and I canāt help but try it anywhere itās offered in hope of finding the best tiramisu on the planetā¦.folkās we have a winner!! I am not kidding, until this time, a small cafe on a rocky edge of the Amalfi coast held the title. This was incredible. I kid you not this place blew my mind. It was so good I drove 35 mins back to this place the second day because i had dreams of my lunch the night before. go donāt...
