It was my first time attending a production by the Mendocino Theatre Company at the Helen Schoeni Theater. Saw The Seafarer and that was a wonderful experience. Great set design, terrific cast and acting (big shout out to the marvelous John Craven!). It was a full house the night I attended but the intimate auditorium makes you feel special just being there. Hard to believe that it was only $30 for a ticket. The nice little lobby was a fun place for a drink/snack before the show and during the intermission. What a community gem! Totally worth the drive. Read moreA very fun and enjoyable community theater. As in any community theater the range of performances be wide but here it was compensated by the cast's true enjoyment of working with each other. The show that we saw was well directed in that the cast was working as an ensemble rather than as a few showcasing. The space is a very nice space, no problem with sightlines, and the acoustics are good. It also is well supported by the community. Plus the location is lovely.
