I love this place and go there fairly regularly even though it's a 20 minute drive from my house. It has a small but choice selection of breads and pastries, but check the menu online because many of the items are only available one day a week and you don't want to be disappointed. I would recommend their sourdough boule, and their cinnamon rolls are to die for ( available only on Saturdays). The only item I've had there that I didn't really enjoy was their focaccia, only because it's a different style than I prefer, but still definitely a great side to a hearty soup or as sandwich makings. They also have a small refrigerator case just inside the door with local cheeses and eggs and some desserts, but they're pricey as locally produced, small batch things tend to be... It's a very small shop and there's usually a line waiting outside as only a small number of people can go in at one time, so bring a coffee or whatever and be prepared to wait a few minutes before you get in to order. Great place and great people and I feel good when I shop there, supporting a small community...

Regardless, I gave the extra star for the fresh bread smell as...
Read moreI've spent 30 years in kitchens and understand how taxing it can be to be a baker. It's a passion thing, cuz nobody's getting rich doing it. So I take my hat off to those that facilitate my breaking of bread with family and friends. That being said,,,, these people knock it out of the park and I can taste the love and effort in every bite. The best of Sonoma County is right here in Forestville. Check for their hours of business so you don't get bummed if they're not open. I've tried em all and your still the best little bakery around....
