NILO RESTAURANT — Restaurant in California

We won’t be back. There were no people, and there was a reason for that.

My daughter ordered a kid’s burger. She didn’t finish it when she normally does. I haven’t asked her yet, but I guess it wasn’t the best. It turned out there was supposed to be soda or milk included but the server never even mentioned it.

I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. I love spicy food. But it was plain spicy, I couldn’t feel any other tastes of it much if there were any. Just burning hot, that’s it. I also asked for a decaf latte, but they forgot about it completely. Well, at least it wasn’t included in the bill.

And the worst of all, my husband got a raw burger. He realized there was something wrong by the time the half of it was gone. It was not cooked rare, there were raw meat bits inside. They suggested to replace it, but refused to take it off the bill. We had an overtired toddler with us, so no time to wait for another burger or latte.

The location is nice though, but I believe there’re much better...

Nilo is a delightful addition to the Danville dining scene. My wife and I were introduced to Nilo about a month ago by friends. We have returned a number of times exploring the menu. In turn we have introduced Nilo to more friends.

The owners are sweet and friendly, eager to ensure diners are accommodated and satisfied. The menu is varied and presents their wonderful interpretations of traditional Italian cuisine. Children and diners not wanting Italian food are also accommodated on the menu.

As with the entire Restaurant Industry, their weakness is in finding experienced servers. They have addressed the problem by hiring and training enthusiastic young people, mostly local. Their inexperience is overcome by enthusiasm and charm.

We had a wonderful lunch today at Nilo's Restaurant. Shadi and her husband own and operate the restaurant. They are so welcoming and friendly. Our appetizer of calamari was lightly breaded, tender and delicious. Two of us in the party ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich with a salad. The sandwich was outstanding with a tender chicken breast covered with mouth watering marinara sauce. The salad was crisp and fresh. Their home-made salad dressings were exquisite! My wife ordered the spaghetti. She marveled how good it was. We will absolutely return here. Shadi and her husband make you feel like family. Please support this local, family operated establishment. They definitely deserve...
