NO.1 China Express — Restaurant in California

Well I've been a loyal customer to China Express for the last 8 to 10 yrs. I often eat there 2 to 3 times a month, sometimes more. I've never had a problem with the food or service quality... But last week, on Sunday, August 27th, my 10 yr streak took a full 360 degree turn in food quality and service.. for the last 8 to 10 years I've ordered the exact same thing, the same two dishes that I always get... A large shrimp fried rice extra shrimp, and a large beef and vegetables .. I usually eat one dish one day and the other dish the following day. The next day when I went to heat up leftover dish, I noticed fuzz growing mostly on the vegetables, on the beef and vegetables plate.. So I did what any normal person would do, I returned the food. I've never had to return my food. But the one time I did, me being a loyal customer went out the window. They didn't want to take responsibility to replace my plate even though they could see all the fuzz. They blamed me for not eating the food right away.. finally they decided to replace my plate, after treating me like Public Enemy # 1 and rudely telling me to never come into their restaurant again, so I kindly complied.. haven't been back since. They really gave me a hard time to replace the plate I kindly paid $40-45 for. Jeesh!!! Replacing a plate would not make or break your business, but losing a loyal customer or customers possibly could. 5 pieces of Advice from one entrepreneur to another: #1. The customer is always right #2. Never blame the customer for the problem they are having #3. Being the owner, you should fix any problem the customer may be experiencing #4. Never make your customers feel unwelcomed in your place of business #5. Being the owner, you should be building strong customer and community relationships.... Building bridges not burning them..

Miss my Momma to take here and dine in wth me. My Momma n I enjoyed many great times here and we enjoyed the owners friendship. My favorite appetizer is the Fried Broccoli. A couple days ago I bought a couple friends of mine from church to visit For lunch and our experience was most memorable. As I said in my last review my mom and I used to eat the fried broccoli as an appetizer. It had been Sept. 10, 2016 when Momma passed. I couldn’t stomach being here without Momma. With a heart of gold the owner brought out some fried broccoli showing me that he remembered and cared. I nearly cried I was so taken back to a lovely memory of the kindness my Momma and I had always received. This place really helps for a fast dinner after a long day that does not disappoint. My family and I just get home at 8 pm. and after settling the kids down I finally get to make the call for my order at 8:26 pm. when they close at 8:30 pm. and they still took my order and made it to perfection with friendly attitudes and amazing customer service. Every time I ordered from here for delivery it has came early and every time my family was beyond happy with the food. The recipes are good and variety is great. Definately worth a try if you havent yet and hopefully you pick family dinner A because it has all the usual favorites that will...
