Papa Lennon's — Restaurant in California

I had been hearing people talk about this restaurant so I decided to get out of the fog in Ventura and take a drive to Ojai. I arrived to a busy patio full of people and no one in line inside where I placed my order. There was one girl working the counter and phones, one waitress on the floor and several men in the kitchen. I ordered a full size Beetnik salad for my husband and a small size of the same for myself. I also ordered what I thought was the Rosemary Chicken panini for us to share. As I moved away from the counter I noticed about 8 people behind me and while sitting and waiting another eight people came in. I was impressed with the way the waitress seemed to keep things flowing amidst the sudden onset of a big crowd of people waiting to order! I noticed my order on the shelf waiting to be bagged and to my surprise it didn't take long. When I arrived home we sat down to eat which is when I realized my panini was not a panini, it was a sandwich on foccacia bread. The flavor was excellent when I was able to take a bite big enough to include the chicken, alioli, lettuce and tomato. I do not recall seeing any cheese and although the bread was fresh, it was way too dry and ruined the experience for me. My husband gave the salad an 8 out of 10 and confirmed what other reviewers mentioned...too much large leaf lettuce and not enough of the items that make it a specialty salad. Furthermore, they included only one salad dressing in the large salad. We found this odd because the small salad had one as well. Two would have been perfect for the large salad. Papa Lennon's is a well known and accredited family operated restaurant in the Ojai Valley. When you walk through the door, you can immediately tell that the owners put a lot of effort in building the rustic and dreamy atmosphere of this place. The ambiance is chill. There is always good music playing (sometimes live music is performed in the patio dining area). And importantly, the service here is excellent. This restaurant is the perfect place to grab a drink and pizza with your buds, or even to bring a date along and sit in the romantic lighting of the outside patio area surrounded with walls of ivy and a small fountain.

Papa Lennon's offers a magical dining experience and also offers fantastic quality and flavor in their food. Currently, my go to's are the BBQ Chicken Pizza, paired along with either a Chicken Ceaser Salad or their famous House Salad. They furthermore produce amazing made in-house desserts ranging from Gelato, Crème brûlée, to Tiramisu; they have all bases covered.

I prescribe Papa Lennon's to you if you want an old soul rustic dining experience paired up with high-quality food. They also offer takeout, which is perfect for those days when you want great food to bring home...

I like papa Lennon's, The food is delicious and the people in the "KITCHEN" are very fast and they preparer the food very good, sometimes french fries are very hard I can't even bite them, very friendly staff. EXCEPT one Lady who's working in the front very rude and unfriend, they sometimes ask if I need any utensils or napkins if not I have to tell them to add forks and napkins cheese and pepper when I call I tell them I want & when I get to my car no nothing no napkins not cheese no pepper no forks. This is mostly all the time . Ok I don't mine asking again for it . But not getting a BAG FOR MY GOOD. I CAN'T tolerate that. ( I called ahead I got to the restaurant I paid for my food then I got a pizza and 4 boxes with no bag I ASKED THE lady can I get A BAG no sorry the bags are ¢0.35 why asking for a bag at a restaurant?? Is ok I don't mine asking for a bag why did she didn't ask when I was paying for the food. Of course I needed a bag. . I told her I came yesterday I didn't even have to ask for a bag they were no charging for it. Ohh well now WE DO. +++It was the way she told me that+++ Then at the stop I drop all the boxes. Well...
