Peet's Coffee — Restaurant in California

Owner’s attention please. Coffee is constantly good. I come here once in a while and for the 1st time I am disappointed by the waitress Malissa.

There was no one else in the room when I arrived. Melissa was helping another customer, and once she finished, a new customer walked in. She immediately greeted the new person and completely ignored me, as if I wasn’t even there. I had to say, “I’ve been waiting to order,” three times before she acknowledged me—still, there was no apology offered to me, only to the other customer.

I truly don’t want to jump to conclusions, but I can’t help but notice the dynamic: I am an Asian woman, and the other customer was a white blonde woman. To better understand if this was an isolated incident or a pattern, I’ll be asking several of my Asian friends to visit and observe. Any further action will depend on what...

On may way to Napa I stopped there and ordered 2 drinks. I asked if I could use the restrooms and was told they are closed due to Covid, upon which I was directed to go to a nearby Safeway or Chevron. I was disappointed that a food establishment wasn’t providing customers restroom access to a restroom; I understand there is a pandemic but it seemed odd that we would need to go to even more public places and expose ourselves to find a restroom, even more so considering that a majority of coffee shops I visit still have restrooms for customers. The cappuccino drinks several years ago were hand pulled and barista-crafted. Today they really lack the basics - a balanced ratio of espresso, steamed milk and milk foam. Even when I order one dry, it lacks 1) velvety texture, and 2) a rich, and 3) a flavorful taste. And I have ordered with both 2% and whole milk.
