The Brass Bear Delicatessen — Restaurant in California

Been there a handful of times and the sandwiches are ok. Pretty good ingredients but the bread options I have had I just haven’t cared for much which I think is a big deal for a sandwich place. It would get the job done if I went again but I would prefer if they had fresher tasting bread that was richer in texture and taste along with the options of toasting it. I like my sandwich with along of sauces too and even if I asked for extra I think the bread prevented it from tasting the way I like. Overall not a bad place whatsoever, but not my #1. Plus everyone there doesn’t look happy to be working there haha everyone’s usually blunt and looks bored but I have always received my order...

Solid sandwiches, but unusually bad service.

Slow (even though we were only one of 2 groups waiting). Unfriendly (there were two older people behind the counter who seemed as though they couldn’t care less that we were patronizing their business, although the young man who made our sandwiches seemed well meaning enough even though he hardly said 2 words the entire time) Overpriced (I get that it’s Alamo but still).

Then the little worm looks at me with one of those I told you so looks in his eyes and proclaims that The Brass Bear Deli is the best deli in the North Bay!
