High Tech Burrito - Alamo — Restaurant in California

I never review things but this had to be done. I stopped in here as an alternative to a Safeway sandwich. I'm usually skeptical about trying new places because I have the places that I know are good and I like. Anyway, I thought I'd try something new. I like burrito places and the sign on the door had a bunch of awards for how good there burritos are. So I thought, how bad could it be. Well, It was as bad as it could be. First of all the order was wrong. I got a custom burrito and it wasn't made right. Although, that seems to happen anywhere you go these days. Unfortunately I had got it to go so there was nothing I could do about it. The ingredients were not fresh at all. The burrito was gross, that's the only way I can describe it. I ended up throwing half of an almost $9 burrito away. Please, save yourself the pain and go to a local taqueria or Chipotle...

I never leave reviews, but I have to take the time here on this one today because I love burritos and I want the best for Alamo. I’m a big burrito guy… this place managed to manufacture the blandest, most flavorless asada burrito. I am originally from the NorthEast US where Mexican food is not necessarily a staple. If lunchables were to create a lunch burrito package, it might be better than Hi Tech’s. I feel like could’ve made a better burrito by gathering the raw ingredients from the Safeway Nextdoor, dropping them into a tortilla and letting it cook in the sun on the hood of the truck. First time eating here with the new remodel and the quality of this place has gone from 100-0. The burritos are overpriced for what they’re worth when I’ve had burritos from liquor stores that were way better and half the price. The Surf and Turf was unbelievably overfilled with rice while only putting in a few chunks of steak of shrimp, and the tomatoes from the salsa tasted so old and terrible that I have to believe it came out of an old can that was about to expire.
