Robertito's Mexican Food — Restaurant in California

Ive eaten here a few times over the years and its been okay. I don't usually carry cash so its not always convenienent. Last night I went through drivethrough and ordered carne asada chips. When I got home they had given me carne asada fries! Okay fine, not what I wanted, fork required to eat them. However it tasted like lemon! A few more bites to confirm the food tasted like pinesol or some type of cleaning product! I drove back and took the container of food. Before I even walked inside I could smell the same scent and sure enough the floor was being mopped as I walked in. I explained the problem and the guy asked if it tasted like the smell and I said yes! He told the guy next to him "dice que sabe a jabon" . And I repeated " si, sabe a limon" I may be blonde but I speak spanish fluently. He offered me a refund or to remake it. Asked for actual chips instead of fries and they remade it.

There were a lot of employees there. At least 2 cleaning, 2 behind the counter and 3 more in the kitchen which is visible from the front. The guys in the kitchen were all laughing and looking at me while they remade it. I requested no sour cream as it was offputting mixed with whatever chemical shouldnt have been in the food the first time. I did a taste test before leaving and it tasted normal.

I ate a little last night when I got home but by then it was so late so I put the container in the fridge. This morning I was eating the cold leftovers and sure enough after 6-8 bites and getting to the bottom there is that same pinesol flavor! I wanted to gag again! Threw it out and decided to write this review after and 10 minutes later I still have the faint chemical taste in my mouth!

Absolutely disgusting! I should have just got a refund. If the employees cant wash the cleaning products off their hands before cooking , are they also not washing after using the restroom or even at all? I graciously gave them a 2nd chance and obviously there are no safe food handling procesures in place. Eat here at...

I tried to give you guys the benefit of the doubt. But every time I go here you guys always mess up my order. I just left the drive thru and paid $51 and some change for 2 plates of carne asada fries and a drink. Seriously?? The only thing I added was shrimp to 1 plate. Mind you there was only 6 small shrimps in the plate. All I asked for was carne asada fries only cheese, guacamole and shrimp EASY!! There was only one customer inside the restaurant and I was the only car in the drive thru. If I pay $51 for only 2 plates at least get my order right!! I get home from dealing with Fallbrook traffic just to see fries, carne asada, cheese, beans and 6 pieces of shrimp in the plate!! I was upset for the simple fact of why is it so expensive, and to not get my order right even when it’s not busy!! REALLY!! I called the restaurant 32 times to see if they could remake my order and I’d pick it up so I wouldn’t waste time driving there and they wouldn’t. But the phone just kept ringing and ringing, no answer!! NEVER AGAIN!! I’m done...

Definitely disappointed, first my wife and I went to the drive-thru she got some old tacos I picked up a bean burrito with extra cheese take it back home find out that the bean burrito is a carne asada burrito. So since the debate is on decided to make something at home then the wife and I said hey let's take the carne asada burrito back I've already eaten dinner and they'll give our money back well that was a pipe dream! The young man behind the counter said that is not something we do here because the shift has changed only being 1 hour they only give food back I explained so the fact that I could not eat my meal I had to eat something else and then drive all the way back down here because this establishment could not give me what I requested I cannot get my money back?
