They have somewhat decent food but the service is horrendous. Tonight they didnāt offer a single refill, they served tri tip that was literally cold. The fries work soggy and cold. They forgot my second side. The food took about an hour to come out and after I asked to pay the bill the bartender acknowledged my request as I tried to hand her my card. But she continued to serve other people for over thirty minutes afterwards. I ordered a couple things to go for my relatives. So I wasted literally half an hour of my life while the food I ordered to go went cold waiting. This kind of experience has happened to myself and my friends multiple times. The waiters hardly ever come by for refills, maybe once over the course of an hour and a half visit. The food often takes a long time even when the restaurant is almost empty and thereās always some excuse. On top of that the food is inconsistent. Sometimes itās really good, but everytime I come here itās different. The sides taste as if they have drastically different recipes depending on what cook is present that day. On top of the fact theyāre often old and left out for a long time. When everything is made correctly and fresh itās great. But the majority of the time theyāre serving food that has sat out for too long on top of who knows what recipe they used that day.
I keep coming back because there arenāt many alternatives and Iām very lenient and forgiving as a customer. But the fact the servers and bartenders are so blatant rude, careless, infrequent to actually check on your drinks, and that the food has such a high chance of being old⦠itās not worth it. Some of the servers are friendly. One of their bartenders is nice. But the fact their staff is so uncaring and that they put such little effort 90 percent of the time Iām here is absurd. They often act like theyāre bothered whenever someone tries to order a drink or ask a question. And the servers rarely come for refills. Why would I give my business to a place that has great potential while choosing to provide poor service. The servers were extremely nice when we brought it to their attention and told us they would let the manager know and he/she would give us a call and take the burger off out order, but we had already paid as we were gonna take it go but just decided to eat in last minute. When we went and told the "manager" Cass that we were told that our food would be comped but we already paid, her response was " well you guys already ate most of it" she was extremely unprofessional and made it seem as if we were just trying to get a free meal. Ā Ā Ā Read moreI will start off by saying I want to like this place - I really do. The atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is pretty good. Other people seem to love the food, and I only tried their smoked meats, not other entrees.
With that said, unfortunately I am not a huge fan of most of their smoked meats. Most of the flavor comes from the rubs and sauces, and not the meat or smoke. The ribs had a good flavor but were far too tough, and while there was a smoke ring the smoke taste was simply not there. I understand most people like their ribs to have a bit of a 'tug' when you eat them... but they were simply not cooked long enough, thus leaving me feeling more like I was at risk of ripping my teeth out.
The tri-tip was ok, although a bit dry. Again, there was a smoke ring but not much flavor. It was sliced to what I consider to be the ideal thickness for most people, and it was sliced properly (against the grain). Seriously - you would be surprised how many placed slice with the grain rather than against it.
The pulled pork was dry, but the texture was pretty good and consistent. No major hunks of fat or un-shredded meat. Again, no smoke flavor even though there was a smoke ring.
