Robertitos Tacos Shop — Restaurant in Kingsburg

We are on the road always looking for good food. I googled this place looking for tacos. I was excited to try them. They have a drive-thru. I ordered the “Special” 5 taquitos with sour cream and cheese. I expected taquitos that are made by the restaurant. Instead I received some that are factory made. The sour cream was scanty and thin with enough cheddar cheese to hide them. The green salsa was very good. 2 asada tacos were ordered without guacamole only. Those felt warm in the package. My family said those were good. The other 3 asada tacos were cold upon touching the package. The thick tortilla was cold and not heated well enough. If it was heated well or at all it would have been great. The steak was good and guacamole was scanty. Nothing compared to the picture on the order stand. Drive through always has the worst service. What really bothered us was why did the tortillas not get heated well? That is soo important. Especially when they are thick. There was no one else behind us in the drive thru. Not sure I would come back here. Much...

As a passerby you wonder why every other business next to Robertito's are booming and have full drive-thru lines and this business is empty when this appears to be the real deal. It's not your typical fast mexican food. It's more authentic Mexican food.

We decided to give the place a chance. Especially because it's not a major franchise. The staff appeared to be kind, set aside the one female that just sits at a table like she owns the place (yes, quite possibly). Just appeared strange to me. The place appeared to be pretty clean. The restrooms as well which is always a plus. It was a quiet and empty restaurant.

Only since the kitchen door is next to the restroom door, as I was walking out, I happened to notice a bug crawling out from under the kitchen door. I stooped down to look and lo and behold...a German cockroach. It's never a good thing. I hope this is not the reason they have little business compared to those...

Apparently I can't give No Stars, it won't let me to post this, so it gets a 1 star, instead of Zero stars. I asked for 2 tacos w/no onions combination plate. (Drive-thru). They apparently already have the onions, cilantro & tomatoes already chopped & mixed all together, because they had those in a separate little container all mixed together. So when I got home to eat it, it was VERY DIFFICULT to separate the onions out, to not end up eating a very Bland tasting taco. I have to ask....why do some Mexican Restaurants do this? Some people don't mind onions, but what if you are allergic to it!! I have this problem A LOT! Please chop individual toppings & Please, Keep in it's own separate bin or container! I will never return to this establishment for what it...
