Caution on customer service for “Hearson” , the supposed manager.
Like any other day I ordered my Italian BMT with two scoops of tuna that I have order for the past 18 years now. I order through the app, and on the instructions I put “add two scoops of tuna pls, thank you”. When I arrived at the store, I told the girl that was starting to make my foot longs, please add the tuna after is toasted. They talked amongst each other and I didn’t think much of it. Before I retrieve the sandwiches, I ask the girl who later said she was the MANAGER that her name was Hearson, if she had put my tuna. She said “no I can’t do that, I’ll get in trouble because is extra”. So I told her, so you were going to give me the sandwich I didn’t ask you for and just let me walk away. If it was extra you should’ve told me and I would’ve paid for it. She just said, “I can’t do it”. So I told her, add it and I’ll pay for it. She then proceeded to have the other girl on the shift to charge me $3.22 for TWO scoops of Tuna. So I asked is that was for a foot long worth because the foot long takes 4 scoops and I only asked for two, so it should be the equivalent of a 6”. To what she responded, “just take it, you are doing too much”. I told her, I am not doing anything you all are making this way too complicated. This was a bad and unprofessional experience in a place that I have been attending for a very long time. Please fix and train this person on proper conduct and professionalism with customers. Read moreToday I woke up this morning craving subway like i do on a normal Saturday, my usual routine every Saturday is to go to subway and get me cold cut combo and ever since they added the foot long cookie i have been eating that also. I was away from my normal location therefore I had to venture to a new subway, the subway located near del mar beach, 21 area. I noticed that this store claimed to open at 0800 hours, but it appeared that they did not open the store yet. I asked around and heard this is a repetitive problem with this location. In my life I have been to 26 different subway locations, and never had this issue in my life as a subway fan. I then proceeded to waste 45 minutes of my time, on my saturday, being away from my children whom I love with entire heart, and they still were not open. I’ve been asking around to people in the area and i’m hearing that they typically are never open on time, usually opening over 2 hours past the opening time. This wouldn’t be an issue to me, but the fact that their hours claim to open at 0800 hours. This really disappoints me as i am a big fan of the subway industry, and have been getting the same sub since i was 8 years old. From now on I will be taking my family to jersey mikes even though i think subway is way more superior to Jersey Mikes. I will be taking a break from subway and even though i know my business being gone won’t effect them as a whole, but i hope to spread the word about this specific location and help people learn that this subway is NEVER open on time. Sign in the door said they closed at 9:00 pm but the doors were locked and the crew (one female behind the counter and one male on his bike ready to head out the door) were already cleaning up for the night. I knocked on the door to see if there was some sort of mistake, but the male only smirked and shook his head. The female kept talking. I knocked again, and the male eventually answered the door. I asked why they were closing when their sign clearly read 9:00 pm with no other sign explaining an early close. He provided no explanation himself, and simply said “yeah I know, but we’re closing early”. Super rude staff. We count on these people as active duty service emended to provide us with food because our healthy dinner options are slim (right now I am without my car, so the options are even slimmer).
