Today I went in with a laundry list of things that I wanted/needed on my 2022 Aventon Aventure. I have had the bike for aobut 18-months and have over 8,500 miles on the odometer and it was due for some care. David ended up replacing two tires, the chain, the gear cassette, and fine tuned everything!

• Sunday July 2, 2023 ** This morning we were riding on the Marsh Creek Trail north of the Cypress Corridor when I felt that my rear tire was going flat, fast. We walked the bikes to a shady spot just off of the trail and I rode my wife’s bike back to the house to get the truck and bike rack and after my wife talked to Dave at the shop we were off to California Bike and Snowboard.

When we arrived Dave and Anthony assessed the situation and they said that they could dog ahead and fix the bike even though they were busy and it was just before the holiday. It turned out that I had somehow picked up a cotter key that pierced the tube and I needed a new tube. While it took a little longer than they had initially anticipated, the work was completed and they made a number of small adjustments. I have put almost 4,000 miles on the bike in the last 8-months and it needs a service.

They booked time for both of our bikes in two weeks after they get back from vacation.

You can’t go wrong with California Bike and Snowboard in out opinion!

• April 2022 ***

We were considering ebikes and a quick search online brought up California Bike and Snowboard and they were open on a Sunday afternoon, so we drove over to see what options were available. The shop was doing a brisk business and Anthony explained the various ebikes in the Aventon line (we had previously researvhed the Aventure) and my wife took a quick spin on a different model.

They did not have any Aventures currently assembled in stock, but anticipated having some later in the week. They called and texted us as promised and we went over and took a test ride and were sold on the Aventure! We discussed some upgrades and while Anthony was going to be out of the shop the following day, he said he would make sure that they would be ready for pickup the following day even if he had to stay late.

When we showed up the following day, the bikes were ready and we went ahead and puchased a bike rack and asked that they assemble it which they agreed to do.

Anthony and David made everything an awesome experience and we are so glad that we found California Bike...

David was very helpful and personable. Called him Friday to see if the bike I wanted was in stock, the Aventon Aventure.2. He informed me he had the exact bike I wanted and could assemble it for me, but it wouldn’t be ready until the next day. I was coming from out of town, so I’m glad I called ahead and he was upfront with me. Saturday I drove nearly 3 hours up to the store and he had my bike all ready to go, worked with me to redeem my California E-Bike Incentive Voucher, and was very kind and knowledgeable the entire time I was at his store. He talked me through every step of what he was doing, was very upfront and professional, and knew every detail about the bike he was selling me. He made sure to give me a full walkthrough of my new bike before letting me leave the store. I really appreciate his thoroughness. Great place to buy a bike. Tried so many stores but the customer service here was the best.

Bought an Aventon Ramblas, owner wasn’t satisfied until I was 100% happy with the bike and made all the necessary adjustments until it fit me perfectly. He didn’t usher me out the door after my card was swiped.

I could tell the staff are passionate about bikes and their craft and they’d rather sell a cheaper bike that makes sense for you than making you buy a bike that is more expensive bike that doesn’t make sense for you.

Zero pressure to buy throughout the process.

The other side benefits are that you get lifetime service and adjustments at the store when you buy a bike from them. Conditions may apply, so chat with them before assuming this.

The only slight negative is that they charge a 3% credit card fee, which isn’t ideal, I understand why though. You can easily work around this if you pay by debit or cash though.

I’ll probably go back here when I want a full suspension e-bike later...
