My son’s wedding was there on Saturday night. The room was beautiful they were able to pivot based on the weather which was appreciated Overall the evening was incredible due to the fantastic job of all of their recommended vendors, the DJ, Coordinator who we could not live without and then we hired an incredible florist. From the beginning the entire process was difficult the bride had to wait on average a week to a week and a half for any responses to questions and then the responses answered one or two questions but not all so the process started again. The vendors we hired could not communicate with the venue either and the bride had to run interference to the very end. I had concerns over the appetizers and they assured me that it was 6 pieces per person, my husband had 1 as did many of our guests. Most of our guests spent their time during cocktail hour in line at the bar waiting for drinks. The bartenders were as responsive as they could be however with 130 people, 2 were not enough especially when they had to leave to get supplies like glasses etc… so the people in line certainly did not get appetizers. The bartenders were very friendly and did the best they could often with a heavy pour sometimes too heavy. The appetizers I did get were good. I had a feeling this would happen and tried to have a stationery appetizer table as well but due to the communication situation we were unable to make that happen. The food took an incredibly long time to get out and was mediocre at best. The salad was overdressed and soggy, the salmon while cooked nicely had a sauce that was so salty it was not edible. Luckily some tables got sauce and others didn’t. The steak was cooked perfectly which was amazing for that amount of people. The plates were inconsistent and what was listed on the menu was not provided. The Salmon was supposed to come with asparagus and carrots but had an unusal vegetable of peppers and corn. I am not sure why they did not have the food that was planned for. Every plate at our table was different even with the same entrees. Honestly for the cost of the venue I was disappointed by the lack of consistency and quality of the food. The wait staff was very nice and helpful. By the time we got through dinner, there were two hours left to dance have desserts etc.. I am not sure what happened with the timing of things. Overall I believe my guests had a great time and I had a great time, the venue is beautiful! One last note, the member bathrooms attached to the bridal room were extremely dirty from the time we got there at 1:00pm throughout the evening even when I complained and my guests complained multiple times. Read moreI was a member at this place when it was formerly called TPC at Valencia. I am looking to become a member at the Oaks Club at Valencia (which is here) in the near future. When I was a member at this golfing location, the staff was super professional and the management team helped make sure that all members were well taken care of. I only had one issue with a staff member and I will keep that man’s name confidential anyway. The dude threw a golf ball at me for some unworldly and ungodly reason. I could have been seriously injury had that golf ball struck me. Once that dude did that, I never wanted to talk to this employee and that particular man ever again in my entire life. I mean why in the world would a staff member throw an object at any member? The craziest thing, he did not even get fired for it. Crazy!!! Crazy crazy crazy!!! Other than that, my stay at TPC Valencia at the time of 2013-2016 was the best golfing experience I have had in my life and that place helped me prepare for golf tournaments as well. Stay away if you’re thinking of having your event here!
Maybe they will treat you different if you throw a large $50k+ event with hundreds of people but for our smaller event at Valencia Country Club (sister property with same management & event staff) of 60-70 with open bar, DJ and ballroom they staff were completely unprepared, unresponsive, unprofessional, and disappointing.
