China Chef — Restaurant in Caln Township

It's hard to even know how to start this whole review honestly but for good note i am a return customer of over 100+ meals and most of them very unsatisfying to start off with. Today i ordered two lunch specials of general tso's chicken with pork fried rice and specifically asked "no vegetables" there was huge pieces of broccoli jammed under my chicken pieces to consume what would be more then half the tray and make it seem as if there was something to serve on top which was obvious cause all other places that are good will serve broccoli on top of chicken but anyway. I ordered egg rolls on the side and they were soaked in oil to the point the wrapper around it was soaked threw so i called and told the owner she circle talked me for awhile with jibberish i couldn't understand well and then i got to the ultimatum of i wanted my money she said i HAD to come down there then i told her "If he can bring this up he can take it right back after dropping my money off" she then agreed to it and kept jibberish on going for a good bit then hung up i called back made a confirmation he'd be here "took him a good hour or more to get here" then when he got here he gave a huge argument with me over my money after me being told i'd be refunded and only gave me 12$ of the 20$ i gave then rudely walked away and left the bag with the food which i gladly threw in the trash where it belonged. The general tso's was fatty and not done correctly like how can you get that most basic thing wrong and ontop of it my order was done completely wrong and rice was hard dont go here unless your really so desperate for delivery but in that case order a papa johns or dominoes just pls don't do what i did and waste my time ordering bad meals then get treated like crap when i righteously want what...

Worst Costumer Service Ever. The lady that owns this restaurant is rude and nasty. I ordered a bunch of food this past Friday, the first thing that happened that should have alerted me that this was going to be a bad experience was when they told me on the phone that their credit card machine was down and they were only taking cash. I said ok and still placed my order, they told me my food would be ready in 20 minutes. So after driving to the ATM to get cash I arrived their 40minutes later, when I walked in the owner did not say hi or hello she asked me "What did I ordered". I told her my order and after looking through a bag on the counter she said it's not ready I'm going to make it now. I told her I ordered my food 40 minutes ago and she told me it would be ready in 20 minutes she threw her hands in the air and yelled out "Well I Was Busy". She then thought she was still going to make my food by going from the register to grabbing a pot and throwing food in it without washing her hands or gloves, I told her don't waste your time because I don't want it. I then looked to the kid at the counter who is the owner son and asked him what kind of costumer service is this and he said please go "I dont want to upset her". I went during lunch, placed an order at 12:03 for a full order of General Tso chicken and replaced the white rice with pork fried rice. Total this order cost me about $22.

Service: They were accommodating on the phone and asked me multiple times if I wanted the lunch platter or the full order to ensure I got what I wanted.

They offered me sauces on checkout and had my order ready about 2 minutes before their quoted time of 10 mins.

I'd say that constitutes 5 stars for a Chinese joint in the service department.

Food: The general tso chicken was fresh and delicious. Absolutely drowning in sauce and there were about 5 Florettes of very fresh broccoli. Good stuff!

The rice however was bad, one sniff sent me reeling. Not great. Which was a shock when I compared it to the general tso masterpiece I had before. I took a bite despite my reservations and found it to be overcooked, mushy and stale. I would say they probably made it some time earlier in the week and reheated it for me. I tossed it as soon as I got home.

Overall I still consider my order a success and when I consider the rice only cost me 5 bucks, I'd say they did a good job.

I'll be back! But I'm probably headed elsewhere for my rice fix...
