Blenders In The Grass - Village Square — Restaurant in Camarillo

Ummm yeah. Took approx. 30 minutes to get 2 Acaí bowls. Not because the line was long, there was about 3 people ahead of me [already ordered and waiting] and another 3-4 that came in after me... I started to get agitated when everyone that came in AFTER me already had their orders and left. And I was still there waiting. All I had was the 2 bowls. I overheard the girl in the front, after the line was CLEARED, ask the other girl in the back "hey can you make those acai bowls??" They hadn't even STARTED my order. And yet everyone after me had come in , ordered, and gone by this point. I guess she didn't want to do the bowls so she just stayed making all the smoothie orders?? I don't know what the issue was but if I would have known almost 30 minutes later noone had even STARTED my order yet, I would have asked for a full refund. There were 3 young women. My son asked me many times over the course of 4 to 5 months to take him to Blenders because he always seems his friends with smoothies from there. Like the straight arrow mom that I am I said no... We don't do things just because our friends are doing it. One day I really wanted to just have a day out with my kids after things started to open back up after the worst of the Corona situation and my oldest suggested Blenders again. I gave in... Now you can't keep me away from this place. I'm not from the west coast and we don't have these back east so anytime family comes to visit I show them the menu and ask what they want. Beside the smoothies being amazing everyone in there looks like kids but they are all very professional, hardworking, pleasant...

I told a staff member that I wanted my smoothie vegan, and I was met with pure confusion and asked what I meant by that. When you work with food, you need to understand these types of terms, especially when you offer these options. I was then blamed for not saying "soy" as if to avoid extra charges, when in reality, the staff member at the register had no understanding of what I said and rang me up for...
