Ruby’s Fresh Mexican Food & Tequila Bar — Restaurant in Camarillo

I ordered through DoorDash, I got two crunchy tacos, a combination plate of a enchilada, chili relleno, 2 taquitos, asada fríes, shredded chicken nachos, side of beans and rice, and 2 horchatas. Me and my family barely took 2 bits! The beans taste like they were from a can like dog food, rice was dry with no taste, crunchy tacos had more cheese then meat, chili relleno was falling apart and watery, chicken enchilada had no taste and the meat was so dry, 2 taquitos were so hard to bite into and were over cooked like they were frozen in a bag and then cooked like the chicken taquitos you buy from the frozen aisle at a store. Nachos and asada fries were watery as well and had no kind of flavor.. the only thing from my order that was somewhat decent was my horchata.. and it’s not the best Iv had. I’m really disappointed to spend almost $80 dollars here including a tip just to have to throw it all away. I am not a picky eater at all so that really says something when you want to gag from the quality of this food. If you are planning to order from here.. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, food is disgusting!!! I rather have gone to Taco Bell. If I could give this 0 stars I would have. Do here for poor quality food. This is embarrassing to be called a “mexican restaurant”.

Highly disappointed with this restaurant. I took my mom who is 84, to the Camarillo location and it was less than a "one star" rating. If possible I'd give it half of one star. We ordered our food and a margarita each. The girl who took our order at the register came out to the patio and told me they did not have the ingredients for the margarita I ordered so I ordered a different one. Our food came but no drinks. I went in and asked about them and there were two girls behind the bar. The girl who took our order was cutting what looked like cucumbers and then she scooped them into the metal container the other girl was holding with her bare hand. It looked like the other girl was starting to "muddle" the cucumber. She then told me to have a seat and she would bring them to me. I went back onto the patio and proceeded to eat half of my dinner but still no drinks. I went back in and told her we are half finished with our dinners so never mind. She proceeded to give me back cash which was not the correct amount and then she called over a young gentleman who proceeded to still not give me the correct amount until I pointed it out to him. Not sure how that will work as the original transaction was on a credit card and he gave me cash!?!? NEEDED: Better Kitchen Practices and Owners That Don't Disrespect Customers

EXPERIENCE: It's a Mexican restaurant, and yes, we went on a Taco-Tuesday evening. Upon arriving, we decided to take our food home instead of sitting down because of the limited table availability - we're out of 8 people/couples who decided to do this. Ordered our food at 7:13, didn't get out of there until 45 minutes later at 7:58. A person that arrived 15 minutes after us complained to the owner and got their food 10 minutes before us - completely and blantedly disrespecting the rest of us that had already been waiting longer. Your restaurant been establsihed for over 5 years in Camarillo and you know there's going to be an abundance of people on one of your busiest days of the week, and yet your kitchen can't handle the intake even after being in our small city of Camarillo for so many years?? The only reason we visit is because you are less than 2 minutes away from our house.

This was just simply unbelievable and unacceptable bad service from the kitchen staff, leaving their front house staff to deal with the upset customers.

Lost us as a regular customer.
