We have been going to Good Morning Cafe since they opened their doors for business...I could say the normal statements like.. Good food...good service...clean bathrooms..convenient location...discounts for seniors...etc etc etc. But its so much more. The minute you step foot into the restaurant you are greeted by a friendly employee and it's not a fake smile or hello it's genuine. And that's very important especially in a day of everybody's in a hurry and everybody is looking at their cell phones. The owner and her employees treat you with respect and kindness and at the same time they are very professional. After greeting you they'll sit you at a table or booth and they'll bring you some homemade muffins and the process begins of reading the menu and picking out what you want. It's good homemade food. The portions are ample the food looks the same as it does in a picture the coffee is hot and what's supposed to be hot is hot and what supposed to be cold is cold. They don't rush you out of a booth even if it's busy and it's usually busy, there is not a high turnover of employees which really means a lot to the consumer. And what's so important is most of the people in the restaurant are repeat customers which is very important to an establishment it gives them a sense of .....yes I'm doing this right.... and the repeat customers tell their friends and then they tell their friends it's like a domino effect that's the best advertising Word of Mouth especially in a neighborhood Eatery. So, Good Morning Cafe... Bravo & keep up the good work...+10....
Read moreI was at " Good Morning Cafe" on Tuesday September 24, 2024 around 8:00 am. I was the only customer inside the restaurant other than approximately a group of 6 men. My initial instincts I thought my server was friendly and accommodating to my order request. My server served me water per my request and then she served my breakfast. All went fine until "Check Out". I walked to the front counter to pay. As I handed her my credit card she proceeded to ring up my order. While we are waiting for my credit card to be processed she asked me this question, "WHY DIDN'T YOU DRINK YOUR WATER? YOU KNOW THERE IS A DROUGHT GOING ON? I EXPLAINED TO HER MOST RESTAURANTS WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO BRING IN OUTSIDE DRINKS & A FEW SIPS OF WATER WAS SUFFICIENT DURING MY MEAL. THE SERVER SAID TO ME " NEXT TIME ORDER A SMALL WATER!! I NEVER ORDERED A "LARGE WATER"!! I addressed my " DISPLEASURE " with her " Insinuations and Accusations". Then she stated to me " I WAS ONLY JOKING", I THOUGHT YOU COULD TAKE A JOKE. I RESPONDED TO HER " NO YOU WERE COMPLAINING"! Well I paid my $21.44 bill. I initially was going to leave a standard 18% tip BUT I was so " Extremely Offended and Disrespected " that I choose to leave a $0.00 Tip for the Rudeness and Decension of this Family Owned Member/Employee. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE OF THE HATRED AND SERVICE I RECEIVED......
Read moreThere is nothing better than going out to a restaurant and getting great food and service and that's exactly what we got at Good Morning Cafe. It was our first time there and our waitress made us feel welcomed and well taken care of. This is a family-owned restaurant and the owner takes great pride in providing delicious food and excellent customer service.
The food, I already had an idea of what I wanted, but when I asked the waitress for a recommendation, she recommended the chili verde, it's what I already wanted so yes I went for it. It was incredibly delicious! She also suggested I get the eggs as an omelet with country potatoes cooked well (did I mention amazing service). The omelet was in the style of a French omelet, topped with the chili verde...it was fantastic!!!
We also ordered the corned beef hash and the pancakes and both were equally great. The pancakes were so light and fluffy and the corned beef hash was perfectly cooked.
We LOVED this place and look forward to visiting it often. It's so rare to find great food with amazing service. The ambiance was simple and felt like a family owned restaurant...
