We really wanted to love this place â the food is genuinely good, and itâs always exciting to support a new spot in the community. Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired.
On our first visit, we came in with a large party on what seemed like a very slow night (the place was nearly empty). A worker named Lalo made a surprisingly big fuss about seating us, which was odd given how many open tables there were. We didnât hold it against him and figured maybe it was just an off night.
We gave it another try the next night. This time, we saw some friends already eating there and asked to join them by putting a few tables together. Again, Lalo seemed irritated, even though the restaurant was far from full. We had already placed our order, but after that interaction, our food was delayed significantly. Meanwhile, our friends ordered more food after we did and received their meals well before us.
When it became clear our food wasnât coming anytime soon, we let them know we were happy to pay for the drinks and appetizers we had, but didnât want to wait around any longer for the pizza. On our way out, Lalo awkwardly brought the pizza over and offered to box it up for free, but at that point, we were done.
This place has potential, and we truly hope they succeed â but if they want to thrive in this neighborhood, they need to seriously reevaluate the way they...
Read moreLuigi's in Cambria is a hidden gem that sandwich lovers shouldn't miss! My fiancé and I recently stumbled upon this place, and we're so glad we did.
I ordered the Luigi's special, which was enormous and packed with flavor. Every bite was a delicious adventure. My fiancé, a self-proclaimed meatball sub connoisseur, was thoroughly impressed with her sandwich. Coming from someone who's usually picky about her meatballs, that's high praise indeed!
The portions here are generous â my fiancĂ© could only finish half of her sub, though I managed to polish off my entire sandwich. But the real star of the show? The fries. Perfectly crisp, wonderfully seasoned, and utterly addictive. They're some of the best we've ever had.
Next time, we'll definitely be sharing a plate. The portions are so generous that one dish could easily satisfy two hungry diners.
We're already planning our next trip to Cambria, and Luigi's is at the top of our must-visit list. If you're in the area and craving a fantastic sandwich experience, don't miss out on Luigi's. Your taste buds...
Read moreThis was the highest rated pizza place in Cambria. I've never been here before but I've been to Cambria numerous times. I read quite a few reviews about this place, some of which said this is the best pizza on the Central Coast which I beg to differ with. It was a friendly place. There were lots of people there. The service was not particularly fast, but everyone was friendly and accommodating and the pizza was served very hot. I ordered a small pizza with olives, mushrooms, and artichokes. The crust was medium thickness and cooked correctly. But like most commercial pizza crust, just lacks flavor compared to homemade pizza with homemade dough. I don't know. I guess my standards are too high for most restaurant food. By restaurant standards I would say it was an average pizza for an...
