I stopped by Bagelsaurus after completing a long run with one of my besties from high school. We pulled up on Saturday morning and the line was out the door! Despite the slight drizzle, we hopped in line. Bagelsaurus came highly recommended and I had to see what this quirkly named bagel shop was all about. Then line moved relatively quickly- giving us just enough time to chat with a local couple who highly recommended the Eggspaniola on garlic cheddar bagel. Soon enough we were ordering our bagels and hot coffees. To say that this was the best bagel of my entire life is an understatement. The bagel was PERFECT- chewy and soft with the slight crunch of the toasted cheddar cheese; gooey egg yolks seeped through and mixed with the warm feta and the lemony parsley mix and aioli. I have never tasted anything so unique yet well balanced- the sweetness, saltiness, and acidity all married together in every bite. The line was absolutely worth the wait and that couple can make all my life decisions from now on. The staff is wicked nice and the coffee is amazing too- I took mine with a dash of sugar and a cloud of oat milk. We sat on some stools in the front window. The only downside to Bagelsaurus is that it is not bigger. We were lucky to get seats but otherwise we would have had to take our post run breakfast to-go. I'm sure during the week, the small space is not an issue but on a Saturday morning it can get very crowded so I suggest picking up vs. dining in. I would add a picture but I ate the whole bagel before I could even snap a pic! Just trust me, it...

Wow, it has been a while since I've had to wait in line for food, but the line was out the door on a Saturday, even at opening. It took around 15 minutes to get to the front and another 5-6 minutes to get my bagel. They don't accept online orders on weekends unless you are ordering in bulk. Despite how busy it was, it was not chaotic. They clearly label which side is for ordering and which side is for pick-up, and everyone respected that, so points for that.

There were a few tables inside, but they were all taken. They have a large mirror as the decor for one side and a self-serve station on the other side. They will call your name when your food is ready, and you pick it up at the counter. I was able to get my order before the person in front of me, so they don't necessarily go in order.

I ordered the hot smoked on cheddar garlic, which had Boston Smoked Fish Co. hot smoked salmon, cream cheese, pickled red cabbage, red onion, and fresh dill. The cheddar garlic is only available on Fridays and Saturdays. The portion size was great for $12, and the colors of the cross-section were beautiful. There was a lot of cream cheese and pickled red cabbage; there could have been more hot smoked salmon. However, all of the ingredients married together nicely. The bagel, on the other hand, was quite tough, like day-old sourdough. My jaw got tired of chewing halfway through. I tasted the cheddar but not much of the garlic.

Overall, the bagel was good enough that I don't regret waiting but not good enough...

Best spot for bagels in Cambridge. Is the name cutesy? Yes. Does this mean their bagels aren't legit? Absolutely not.

LOGISTICS -This is a tiny space- don't let the line all the way to the door intimidate you (there WILL be a line to the door, especially Friday to Sunday). The staff is excellent and the line moves quickly. -Come earlier in the day if you have your heart set on a particular bagel. Come early afternoon, the chalkboard menu is covered in masking tape pieces, signifying a sold out flavor. -Come on Friday for maximum options. They'll have all the usuals plus a couple of their special flavors and sometimes pizza bagels.

THE BAGELS In a word, perfect. Slightly crunchy exterior and chewy all the way through. Always fresh, always well seasoned. This is a true east coast bagel. I usually can't resist a classic everything with cream cheese, but they have a hot pepper schmear that is to tie for and a great line up of breakfast sandwiches for those looking for a real meal. The iced coffee is not too shabby.

THE SPACE More of a grab it and go place. Small, with a few tables. Tidy and well lit, they maximize the space well. Good for having your bagel and iced coffee, not designed for you to camp out with a laptop. If you REALLY want to come for a quiet read or to catch up with a friend, come early or come on a weekday.

The staff is always pleasant and efficient, the bagels are always toasted and fresh. Make this your next bagel- you...
