I've been going to Peking House restaurant for a long time and I noticed I hadn't been there for a while because I was out of town for about a year and when I came back we decided to go there cuz it's our favorite restaurant and they upgraded everything in the restaurant it's really pretty it was nice before but it was outdated now everything is brand new they even have a sushi bar and also serve alcohol in case you want to go all out and order a Mai Tai 😂 my boyfriend always gets the tuna roll and I get the California roll, we both decided to order the combination seafood consisting of large shrimp, scallops, Lobster and crab but it is the imitation crab with Oriental mixed vegetables and the shang hai egg roll I'm pretty sure that's what it was called it was the first time I ever tried it , it was delicious, it was a light outer shell roll that was crispy with veggies and shrimp, my bo had a ginger ale and I had hot tea, i also order take out for my sister she wanted the shrimp egg foo young she said it was delicious, highly recommend😊 😊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😊 I am doing an update because my bo and I just recently went there again and ordered the same thing this time the portion was half the size from our last visit, the food was good except I was really disappointed in the rice we decided to get fried rice instead of our usual white rice are server brought us out two small bowls of white rice with our meal and I asked her if we could please have the fried rice that we didn't want the white rice so within minutes she brought us back two bowls of rice which I think was the same white rice with soy sauce added that made it brown in color and that was it ! there was no veggies like usually Oriental restaurants put onion, peas, shredded carrot different restaurants vary in the veggies add , this fried rice was not fried rice it was just plain white steamed rice with soy sauce added I definitely was unhappy about that that's why I changed the rating from 5 star to 3 star on the food , last time I took home my leftovers because it was a very nice portion 😟any time I go to an Oriental restaurant I always wind up taking home a large container of leftovers from my meal so I have a nice lunch the next day but this is the first time there was no...
Read moreI've never been more disgusted with an order in my life. and with service. typically I can look past employees being rude, but I'm astonished by the way my sister and I were treated by the register worker last night and again by the person who I spoke to on the phone today. We ordered some soup (which was fine) Veggie Lo Mein, and two orders of the beef teriyaki sticks. we go in there and the guy on the register is being extremely dismissive and unprofessional. HE gave us the wrong order bag and then got mad at us for looking in it to check our order saying "that's not your order" so why slide it over to us as we're paying? ridiculous. If that wasn't bad enough were on our way home and she looks in our actual bag, the beef teriyaki sticks were mushy and chewy and there was NO TERIYAKI flavoring at all. Absolutely disgusting. And he also gave us the wrong food item. He gave us veggie CHOW mein. with the rice it was not good and also again, not what we had ordered. no sauce or flavoring at all in the veggies it tastes like just boiled vegetables. So I call today because last night it was too late to go back and get a refund we had to throw more than half of the order in the trash, and I asked if there was a manager or someone I could talk to for a possible refund. he refused to let me speak to a manager and even though I said we threw the order away that he can't refund the cash unless we bring the food back in and that he'd give us credit. Since we had been disappointed and given the wrong items on our past TWO orders i told him that wasn't very helpful as we won't be eating from there again. and still instead of letting me speak to someone else he insisted I get the food our of the TRASH and bring it back we will only receive store credit. Absolutely disgusted with the food and service of this place and I will never waste my money here again. The employees here need to learn to have some respect for their customers and accept when they're wrong. do not waste...
Read moreI arrived at the restaurant at 6:28 PM and was seated by 6:29 PM. Right off the bat, I noticed leftover food on the menu, which wasn't a great start.
The staff on duty included one waiter, one waitress, one sushi maker, and one cashier. I saw someone who came in before me get their order taken at 6:31 PM, so I knew I'd be waiting a bit.
My drink order wasn't taken until 6:43 PM. It arrived quickly at 6:44 PM, and I placed my food order then. The waitress mentioned she was busy, which I could tell.
The fried wontons came out at 6:50 PM, but they were super dry and tasteless. I had to drink a lot of Dr Pepper just to get them down.
Finally, my main food arrived at 7:07 PM. Overall, it was a pretty disappointing experience.
I ordered the Peking Duck, which should be the main dish for this place. It was not thinly sliced, in which I need it to be, to be placed into the sheets to dip. The skin was not crispy, and I had to get drink more soda to drain it down.
This place can be a success it they had more help, as well as ensuring that the systems that they use could move faster service as well as having a consistent...
